There you go. This is not a strong team. And he might not be the kind of player to make a team strong with his own contributions.

Interesting thread started by a Weems/Derozan lover... one of the last survivors still on the Derozan is the future bandwagon. Come on... tell me he's 21 and sky's the limit.

I don't know what you guys expect out of Kleiza if he plays 16 minutes a game. How can he be in sync with the team when he's the 8th guy (after Barbosa and Davis) in the rotation. Someone start a thread about how Julian Wright and Dorsey are not producing. Kleiza has his strength's (shooting/post play) and weaknesses (defense) like any other player. Yes his turnovers are out of control but it's possible that he's trying to do too much in limited minutes.

Reality is that Kleiza played fairly well when he started. I'm not necessarily advocating him to start, but he should be given an opportunity to play over 30 minutes at least for several games. Derozan plays like sh!t, starts, and still plays over 30 minutes. Weems plays well for several games, then thinks he's Kobe and plays like Jamario Moon.

Kleiza was the leading scorer in the Euroleague. He has a role in the NBA. Maybe it's not on the Raptors, but the talent is there. It's not like he's playing the entire game every night and sucking. Even averaging ~ 10 pts, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 22 minutes is not too horrible.

By fitting on a strong team, OP13 means fitting on a team that actually moves the ball. Raptors have a 1-on-1 offense. There's no movement. I think Kleiza as well as Derozan, who can be a decent slasher, would both benefit from more picks/screens and movement. Most the top teams in the NBA move the ball. Princeton offense for Kleiza would be ideal.

That part about wild parties actually might be true...he once was fined in Lithuania for pissing in public place, couple youtube videos where he's drunk while celebrating with NT. He once almost got in a fight with a securitie guard in a bar when they wanted to ask him and his drunk gf to leave. But that was when he was still in Denver so things might have changed sinced then. He looks more like a profesionall now, he isn't arguaing with the reffs that often 2...

Personally i think he gained few pounds to be able to play more time at PF position if necesary... thats what he did in Europe and in WC.

What player even likes talking to the media? Especially when you lose to NY by 17 points at home.

And since he's barely playing why do they bother interviewing him.

Young, rich, professional athlete partying? What? No way? A Lithuanian drinking and starting fights? Impossible lol.

Kleiza certainly f*cks with the girls though. This Americanized Lithuanian girl that I know from Maryland used to talk to him when he played h.s. ball at Montrose Christian and he ways always trying to be a player. She went to the same Catholic school as Carmelo Anthony before Carmelo got expelled for punching a girl in the face lol.. moving on to Oak Hill. At Missouri, there was also rumor that part of the reason Kleiza declared for the draft was because his coach, scumbag Quinn Snyder, was messing with his girlfriend.

Kleiza def added weight. Regardless he won't be playing PF in the NBA so he needs to lose 10 lbs immediately. He was fairly athletic in Denver for a stout white guy.

Kleiza needs more minutes. Problem in Toronto is he really shouldn't be playing with Bargnani on the court because he can't stay in front of most starting threes. I think Kleiza and Weems should platoon at SF whenever there is a slower 3 play Linas, and a quicker one play Weems.

If the Raps number one priority was winning Barbosa and Kleiza would play 30 minutes a game. Agenda is to develop Weems/Dero and now Bayless/Davis - that cuts into Kleiza's minutes and means he has less opportunity.

Just worked out a stat - when Kleiza plays 25+ minutes a game (happened six times this season) he averages 17.5 PPG/47% FG/4.8 REB.

Now that he's healthy I'm sure he can get solid stats if he got the ball more. I don't like how weems has been playing lately, he seems to ignore a lot of players and play with the PG handing ball off to each other.

Well, it's true. And his famous ''Sprite'' interview... (Only Lithuanians knows ). But it past away. Now Linas has his charity and support foundation, supports children and youth, such a projects like “Golden Heart”... He admits he made mistakes, and now looks more clever.

You know Linas has been digging into the New Year's Spurgos when Brad Miller is blowing by him on the perimeter.

Didn't this guy used to play SF for the run&gun Nuggets???

Get this guy in game shape Jay, it's been long enough.

He looks like a cross between the worst tendencies of Carlos Delfino, and the worst tendencies of Kris Humphries. It would be nice if he could exhibit the best tendencies of both those guys. I won't hold my breath.

Well it's only one bad game. However he needs to stop chucking when his shot is not there. And he needs to stop turning it over.

This thread is a joke IMO

There is nothing wrong with Kleiza's game, if he gets 12 boards he can take as many shots as he wants IMO

Well, no point in getting a board on defense and chucking and missing it at the other end.

However, I still like how he's been playing in the starting lineup.
