Let's Blow It Up

Why should we wait for another T-Mac moment. We know bosh is as good as gone, next year we have 4million to spend on who? .... so do we blow it up? Wait for us to gel? Or fire the man at the reigns?

Basically, Bosh needs to be S&T next summer and Jose has to be dealt as well imo.

Out of that we have to get a decent veteran PG, defensive SG and a Big that plays at the rim who isn't a big time scorer who's main reason for existing is getting rebounds and boxing out. And then hire a real coach, one with a pair of nuts.

That should have been done this summer. Dont know why we loafted on that. Jose needs to leave. Clearly bosh and bargs isnt working out. Do something to fix it

Culture needs to be changed IMO. I say we follow the Milwaukee model over the last two years.

Two years ago Milwaukee's "team" was Mo and Redd chucking shots, a mentally soft Charlie V./Yi PF rotation, and Bogut at C wondering why nobody passes him the ball. They had the worst defense in the league because nobody gave a shat about playing on that end or playing together.

Hammond gradually got rid of all the losing, defenseless players on the team and hired a badass coach in Skiles who benched young players when they didn't play d. Then Hammond brought in a bunch of good role players in Ridnour, Luc Mbah a Moute, Ilyasova, Kurt Thomas, etc. to fertilize his young players

Now their core is Jennings, Ilyasova, Bogut and a bunch of great role playing guys who play d and play hard. They have a FANTASTIC culture and solid core. They're definitely on the way up

A team like Milwaukee or Houston is exactly the opposite from what the Raps have built around Bosh. If Bosh goes I don't know who our franchise player will be, but I hope BC is smart enough to choose effort over talent for the supporting cast

I think JVG is the man for this job. He is the only coach good enough that comes to my mind.

YUP.... i love your avatar... who is she?? Hedo, Calderon, Banks, Bosh, Evans need to go after Dec 15th. I want Harris/Rose, Lopez/Noah, A.Miller+Bayless+Outlaw for Hedo and Wright. We can be a pretty good team in the near future. Jay needs to resign, and return back to his assistant coaching job. We must get Avery, since he knows how to deal with a Dirk=like Pf.

Dont know if bargs is willing to learn.

All I can say is that if Hedo and Bargs are the core of our team next season we had better be prepared for about 4-5 years of lottery-bound Raps ball.

That's why we trade them. Maybe not Bargs. But Hedo for sure.

We should keep amir, jack, belli, derozan, wright bargs???. Rebuild and use lottery picks for solid players.

DVS 12-11-2009 11:43 PM

My opinion is bargs is the only bright light on this team. A rebuilding model will be perfect to find his game I'd think. Heck you have him at a large extention you might as well continue to give him a shot

I'd rather be shitty for a few years knowning there's potentially a light at the end of the tunnel as opposed to this constant mediocrity we're mired in..Toronto as a franchise, cannot rely and build from free agency due to the fact it's not a desirable destination; we need to build through the draft much like portland, okc..The sooner, the better IMO..And I'm not panicking, this has been my modus operandi for some time now..Bargs, Beli, Amir, Derozan, Jack as a mentor to a young PG, whatever we recieve for Bosh, potential lottery pick this year -if we fail to make playoffs...is a decent start.

moremilk 12-11-2009 11:57 PM

bargnani didn't play in milwaukee and we got schooled

might as well wake up and face the music, this team is just not good enough
you can trade anybody, unless you somehow rob a team, there's nothing you can do to make this team as good as orlando. Say we somehow fool orlando and trade bargnani for lewis. Will this team turn from a 33 wins to a 58 like orlando was last season? I don't think so ...

babyface 12-11-2009 11:59 PM

how many teams want Bosh?

Are there any examples of equal value sign and trades...I remember the Suns got Diaw for Joe Johnson:mischief:..Any examples where the team dealing the star gets equal or even close to equal value..I'm a little skeptical regarding the sign and trade paradigm..
