Least Valuable Player

Humor me with this thread.

Winning is nice, especially against the Knicks, but we're at 40% win rate now with a DEEEP lottery draft.

In the Tank Sweepstakes, the least valuable player is the one who the team cannot do without if they want to win.
I was going to automatically go with Bargnani, but so far, I am leaning towards Calderon.

We're at a 40 percent win rate with 2 wins against bad teams. Nothing too much to think about yet. Had we beat Dallas or Indy or Orlando, then the intellectual exercise would be more worthwhile.

To try to play along, I would say Casey is the key factor, so he'd be the one that would need to be given the push off the cliff.

i like you're subtle indication of NY being a bad team, well done.

tanking is not even a real thing it is something made up by fans and i can't believe how much it is actually talked about by fanbases with bad or mediocre teams.

carmelo plus chandler makes them more than a bad team.

The real question should be, could we beat the Knicks in a seven game series? :mischief:

Does Brian Colangelo have to shout that they are tanking from a bullhorn? They're tanking.

On a positive side note, early on. Calderon in 3rd in assists and Bargnani in 7th in points in the NBA. A bright light this year might be an all star appearance for Bargnani if he can continue or improve.

what i said, again.

IMHO, if your GM comes out and says at the beginning of the season, "This 4 months can't go by fast enough." or "My assistant GM is keeping me from making deals.", or he just wants to talk about who they might be able to add in a deep draft....

Semantics or whatever, we all know hat he's talking about, so the easiest way to say it is tanking. And best of all, most Raptors fans are embracing it. I don't know how esle you'd put it.

The answer to this question may become clear if Andrea misses any games. they may not have a hope. :stretcher:

I don't get what's with all the injuries, every day you have 2-3 players going down
could it be the short training camp? I get that it will be a difficult season, but it's just begun, players can't be all that tired yet.

Good news for Andrea Bargnani. Raptors big man injured his calf during the loss againt Sacramento Kings and was headed to the hospital. Former 1st round pick had an MRI that revealed not a big injury. Bargnani will miss just few days.

Dario 01-13-2012 01:32 AM

Cool, few days couldn't hurt us.
