![]() Lack of mental toughness. When we are 12 up and the other team scores 4/6 points on a row, we suddenly start rushing things, we get nervous, we take bad shoots, theres no confidence in the passes, we dont respond to other teams defensive pressure etc...

![]() Losing a 10-pt lead in the 2nd quarter isn't a big deal. Happens to the best teams. The other team isn't just going to lay down and die because you start out hot.
Losing a 10-pt lead in the final 3 minutes? Now that I can be concerned about. This team is still learning how to finish games properly. Take into consideration that we have TWO backup PGs that are now forced to finish games and it makes things a bit more difficult. They're the ones that have to control the offense and get Bosh/Bargs the ball. On the whole I'm still very pleased with what I'm seeing. |

the thing about our PG position is that most of us here somewhat prefer Roko in the game... and he really must be the worst shooting backcourt player in the league - even though i'm sure he'll improve with this. Solomon's had his moments, but he clearly isn't a capable PG in the NBA. However, the team in general is playing pretty well so i'm not that mad about things. and anyways, basketball is all about runs. It happens in just about every game - and that's why 10 point leads or deficits don't really mean that much outside of the final 5-6 minutes. |

![]() we're not blowing anything, just read today that when we lead after 3 quarters we're 12-3. During nba games is common to see runs, just the other day SA was leading at home by 20 after the 1st quarter and ended up winning at the buzzer ... Especially with jump shooting teams, it's very likely to see wild swings like that, since players get hot and cold during games.
Other than the NJN and Boston game, I can't recall any other games where we blew significant leads late in the 4th. |
