Latest Injury Update

Does anyone have any news about Raps injuries?

What's going on with TJ, Bosh & Bargo?

Ball Don't Lie 12-04-2007 09:34 PM

There will probably be updates on them in the papers tomorrow, I dont see anything out online right now. Hopefully 2 of the 3 are back so we can at least be in the game, Suns are on a back to back off a tough win in Indy from tonight so we should play em tough, and hopefully get our first win over them in forever.

I read at another board that Bargs and Bosh are likely out for tomorrow, but Ford's going to be a game time decision. I'd love to see all 3 play, but if their still struggling with these nagging injuries then don't push it.

I think that Raps might as well keep big three out of Phoenix game... chances are Raps lose that game with or without them...

Very true Ivan, but crazier things have happened. I'm still looking forward to watching it though. Claudius is lucky because he's actually going to the ACC to see it live.

I dont know, Indiana gave them a hard time, and the knicks also, so tomorrow is back to back games for them. We might have a chance.

Nash is always pumped when he plays in TO and every time is the same...

2007 Suns 100 Raps 98
2006 Suns 140 Raps 126
2005 Suns 123 Raps 105

Belsius 12-04-2007 10:30 PM

So it looks like every year we have gotten closer. Lets pray for a 102 - 98 win..

following the trend, Phoenix will win this one 78-72 ... yeah, right ... :)

Did Garbo had the surgery or not?

Anyone hear if Bosh and Bargnani are possible for friday? I dont' want to see another Boston 45 point blowout

Nothing firm yet ... I think they'll say something tomorrow at some point and see how they do in practice today before they give us any updates.

Apparently, from what I heard on the Score this morning, both Bosh and Bargnani WILL NOT travel with the team to Boston.

The guys won't roll over and die the way the Knicks did. The Raptors have more pride than that. Besides, I think Moon/Delfino/Parker can adequately guard Pierce and Allen. It's guarding Garnett where we'll run into trouble.

Ugh .... Garnett's gonna kill us in the paint. If our perimeter defense is as shotty as it was last night, then Allen and Pierce will eat us alive too. :(

To be fair Doc, the Suns were playing a higher octane than anything the Raptors have seen this season. It was disgusting. A lot of their open shots too were facilitated by one of the game's best point guards. The Suns couldn't miss shots last night. They just three after three. It was a clinic. I thought TJ was quick. Barbosa is equally if not quicker/faster than TJ. Boston doesn't play like that. I think we can keep up with Pierce and Allen, but like you said, we'll get killed down low by KG. Just might have to get whoever's playing the 4 and 5 to double KG.

Man, place Rasho on KG. They know eachother from Minnesota. Make KG work his ass of in the paint and if Perkins beats us then so be it. He beats us.

I think that's a given. Rasho is probably the best we have for KG..not as mobile as Bosh, but smarter and plays positional defence a lot better.

I hate to be pessimist all the time but I feel Raps will lose this game by 30 or more...

KG will have 20 & 10 game while both Allen & Peirce will score 20+... it will be painful to watch Hump trying to slow down KG and Allen will kill us from 3 point...

fancylad 12-06-2007 11:09 AM

damn Ivan, I know you said you got off the bandwagon, but 30 points?
no way man.

The raptors will definately compete and keep pace with the Celtics. That's not a question in my mind.

The biggest factor will be if we will have the onions to do anything of significance late in the fourth when the game is on the line.

As for the injuries, i'm all for having our boys heal fully and not rush them into action. This team is totally deep enough to handle being short of Bosh and Bargnani for a few games . If that stretched into a few weeks, then ya... i would worry.

but if those two (or even just one) can come back by next week, we'll be fine.
