Yeah, I get that. I've loved what I've seen but it is only 3 games.

We'll need to make a new "The Landry fields is amazingly awesome" thread if he keeps it up

Not really a bandwagon when you consider he did these things in college and in the NBA. The guy struggles with an unknown elbow injury (that doesn't hurt no less so he didn't even know) and struggles for the last 1.5 - 2 years. He's now displaying his natural ability - the kid is good and will get better. I'm just glad I don't have to defend the fu**er anymore

Now if LF had always sucked and was on a 3 game surge I'd agree with you about band wagoning but his movement off the ball, his BB-IQ, his defence and heart has always been there. I was more worried about his confidence than anything else.

Respect the man. He never hung his head or whined and complained last year. He's just playing basketball this year, hasn't said anything to raise the expectations of fans, downplayed them in fact, but his play has earned him the respect of an ever greater number of fans. Love his attitude, wish more athletes could be the same. He's turned some of the worries about the second unit's play, into an anticipation for when he and Hansbrough and Ross hit the floor. We aren't so fearful when our second unit comes on. Thank you Landry.

I think I would enjoy watching Raptors much more if guys like: Ross, JV, TH, and Fields would get more burn. I love that MU want's to have a tough defensive minded team and these guys are perfect for it.

LF will continue to get back to where he was in college and rookie season in the NBA. A number of rap players can learn from LF and how he moves without the ball....the shooting will come as his confidence grows, you can almost see it happening while he's playing.
Exactly. The majority of this board acted like he couldn't play ball, never could, sucked with the Knicks, Pringles' offense inflated his stats etc. while his injury and the lack of confidence really were the only root to all his problems.

Don't get me wrong, he's still overpaid but is a lot better than most gave him credit for, and works hard. Right now I wouldn't mind if he took over the starting SF spot after a Rudy Gay trade, that is if we get f.e. a scoring PF in return for Gay.

Always been a fan of Fields. Advanced plus-minus stats have always suggested that he contributes more than meets the eye - so when he's contributing according to the eye, you know he's doing a lot for the team. Glad he's found even more of his flow with the team this year than last.

His basketball IQ is off the charts. He sucked last year due to a tough injury. Is he overpaid? No doubt, but this is BC's fault.
