Nba just went through NBA Draft Preview. And the analyst supports this point:

Coming Attractions: Jazz | NBA.com

At 1:23 He begins to mention it.

Lets get real there is no point guard in the NBA who is a shut down defender. If you want to talk about defense then the area you talk about is rebounding and steals, and Kemba blows Knight outta the water in those categories, despite is 'small height'.

Knight, I think he can be really good. I don't see Kemba being better than Bayless so no point in drafting him if he just gets in the way of Bayless's development.

To be honest, sky is the limit for both of them. Whoever starts for us next season whether its Bayless or Kemba.. it will be good, both players have potential to be great.

Character wise Knight is the guy you would want on your team. From his interview you can tell he is someone who works hard and makes no excuses.

On the other hand Walker seems like someone who is just happy to get that fat pay cheque. He seems like someone who is more about the individual than the team. Check out the interviews

don't think so. I know knight is a very bright kid, and kemba does give off that confident personna like he only wants the $$... but he has great leadership qualities.

Not only that, Knight was taking college courses prior to even starting College and is a 4.0 student. He is a very intelligent kid who has a good head on his shoulders.

Kemba graduated a year earlier that he should have.. so you can say both are intelligent with a good head on their shoulders.

That's 1.

And he happens to be one of the most athletic guards in the league.

His 6'9 wingspan and inhumanely big hands truly make him an anomaly.

Knight is the type of character guy the raps are looking for to play their hockey style defence. He seems like a man with principles.

Walker acts like a little to cocky for me. He doesnt have that seriousness and edge you need a PG. He seems like a very emotional player whos thinks hes the shit.

Principles beats emotions everytime.

This pick between the two comes down to character.

I wouldn't mind some cockyness on this team to be honest.

we need some swag. we're too quiet and soft. we need to change our culture like Casey said. He wants to bring a defensive culture to our franchise, where we will hard foul like in hockey. Cockiness will add to this culture.

Brandon Knight was the ranked the #1 point guard in the country when he was in High School, infront of the likes of Kemba and Kyrie. Just sayin'.

Yeah man.

The point is unless you have some attribute that makes you incredibly unique, size matters in our modern NBA. Especially for starting PG's.

And BK does have that certain uniqueness because I don't even know the last time I've heard an NBA prospect being that academically advanced and motivated. Jerry Lucas, one of the greatest of all time comes to mind.

Doesn't have seriousness? He won the NCAA championship with a young team.. he basically carried them on his shoulder. He is pretty much the best leader you can get, just because he is confident doesn't make him any less desirable.
