Kleiza still a long way from being back

As expected, Linas is still a long way from being healthy.

Maybe someone can translate this for us? :)

TORaptor4Ever 05-25-2011 12:46 PM

I swear to God this team is snakebitten.

jeffb 05-25-2011 12:47 PM

No surprise. We were told 4 months ago that he could be gone until early 2012.

gnarl 05-25-2011 01:46 PM

Don't think the league will grant this to us but do you think we can apply for a disabled player exception for Linas?

MARTYNAS 05-25-2011 02:04 PM

Linas Kleiza was surprised when he saw an article that says, Lithuanian national team doctor thinks, Kleiza is ready to play full strength

Kleiza - " I just read that and i was surprised. I don't understand what NT doctor wanted to say. It's not true. I think it's a big misunderstanding (media). I am not ready, if you saw me walking, you know this. I can't even run, it needs 3 months at least. I don't know about all new methodologies, but I talked about it with many doctors, but I never heard player can recover so fast. I go to USA next week. It all happens every month or two, I can do more and more things, use my body. But I don't expect to hear something new''

Thanks, man.

Thanks for the info!

I'm just putting this out there...It already seems like the Raptors/BC are moving on from Kleiza.

Man what are we going to do with this guy?

The only positive is that Kleiza knows how to come off the bench...

& yes it does seems like were always in a bad spot with regard to injuries!:sigh:

AP we miss you!!!!!!!!!!! 05-25-2011 05:11 PM

Kleiza is a good player. His body has not been healthy ever since the FIBA tournamant ended. You could tell even when he played preseason that he wasn't a 100%.

rapsmannn 05-25-2011 05:18 PM

this smells like a garbojosa situation, by the 3rd we'll be buying him out so he can go back to Olympiacos for more playing time

Ligeia 05-25-2011 05:24 PM

I can't honestly make any assessment about his future with the Raptors. We have seen so little and it's clear that this team needs to change so much that it is hard to tell of what use he will be. One thing for certain is that he still has a fair amount of money on that contract to just ride the bench, so I hope he'll either be involved in a positive role or moved.

Admiral 05-25-2011 05:32 PM

well if he can't return this season we can file for salary space like the rockets have done with yao the last few years

Rycka 05-28-2011 04:40 AM

Are u serious? With possible lock out he has more time then enough to go through his rebilitation. He's already half way there, every doctor that comment his situation in media say that he is doing great. It's true that he wasn't helthy during this season i suppose, but it's not his fault they let him play with injurie and wanted to see what's going to happen. :tombstone:

I believe Kleiza continued to play injured, because for the first time in his NBA career he was the clear cut starter at SF, & did not want to let it go.

Claudius 05-28-2011 02:03 PM

If he gets healthy in a few years and continues to work hard, I can see him being a nice 6th or 7th man off the bench while a few of our young guys continue to develop. He can provide that quick offense and his ability to play multiple positions is a nice plus.

I just want him to continue to work hard and get healthy right now.

MARTYNAS 05-28-2011 03:12 PM

He will be ok. I saw few articles few weeks ago and it looks hes doing fine. NT medics were surprised, he is in great shape. Kleiza said, he can't run in full strength and he must to wait so now he swimming, hits the gym and do all that stuff.

It does really suck though I really thought he was going to fill the gap at SF this year:(
