He can get more minutes elsewhere next season reguardless of the money. By next season Davis, Amir will need to play, and by next season you may want to see Alabi play a little as well depending on how this season goes for him in the D League. Add to that if we get a true starting Center and move Bargs to PF, he'd barely play. He's 30 and still has some time in his career where he wants to play i would think.

I agree.... though I wouldn't hesitate bringing him back for the minimum.

Look at the top teams with the highest salaries:

1. Lakers
2. Magic
3. Dallas
4. Boston
5. Denver

If you look at the last couple of years, its the same teams. I don't think Lakers, Magic, and Boston look at the salary cap and luxury tax, they are trying to win a championship. We all know Mark Cuban is an owner will to lose money to build a comptitive team. You may be right about the CBA, but I don't think the Lakers and Celtics will change their ways.

Perkins is awesome. Hopefully he rebounds well of his injury. With him dominating the low post and Bargs in the mid to long range we can be a good team
