Default Keep giving Joey burn!!

It's working, he has earned the burn away from Jamario, he can take foolish shots, but lately he plays very within himself and brings an element of toughness and aggression that this team lacks. Obv he has his limatations and you dont him to start chucking, but i think his D is very underrated aswell, and you arent even losing that much compared to Jamario so i dont really see a reason why we shouldnt just keep giving him 30min. Let Jamario start if it soothes his ego, but still give Joey more burn. Agree?

It all depends on who is having the better game sometimes Jamario will get 30+ sometimes Joey will get 30+. Another thing is when Joey comes into the game usually late 1st beginning 2nd he gets into foul trouble quickly so Jamario gets more minutes.

Agreed. The Raps should also be using Joey's strong post up game more often. That's quite a weapon.

He has a tough time finishing around taller players though, he needs to improve on that

I mean that they should isolate him on opposing 2 guards so that he can shoot over THEM. If he gets doubled or a big comes over then swing the ball.

Joey has always been a valuable guy coming off the bench. I wouldn't want to see him traded or let go. But I think the team takes a big step forward when he is that guy coming off the bench, and not someone depended on for consistency.

Not that I have changed my thinking on Joey long term. But yeah I would play him ahead of Moon at the moment. I think it is becoming obvious that both with not be back next year so it is not like you need to worry about hurt feelings and re-signing them.

Until Marion comes here(?) Joey should be playing 30MPG. Jamario has earned a spot on the bench imo.

I think Joey will be back next season. Behind a legit SF he can be a pretty good backup imo. As for Jamario, there is no need to bring him back if we get a legit starter and keep Joey/Kapono.

I agree that Joey earned up to 30 minutes a game. But only from the bench. He can surprise opposition at SG.
But overall in this team, Moon is more needed

The thing that I love about how Joey is playing right now is that it looks like he finally looked in the mirror and said, "Damn, I'm built like a truck. I should be banging out there." I don't know if it was just the minutes or if Jay said something to get through to him, but I love the aggression we're seeing from him. He's not backing down from anybody and he has shown some surprisingly quick feet on D lately.

Yep, the way he jumped into the "fight" was very refreshing. Once him and JO arrived at the scene, the Sacramento tempers have cooled down in a hurry.

Joey playing hard on D and attacking the paint on O will always get plenty of burn on this team.

Just goes to show that if you find a niche and excel in it, you'll get your minutes.
