Question Kapono the X Factor???

This is a really slow season and theres not much to talk about, so Im just gonna thrown in what I have always thought about.

I have reasons to think that Kapono can actually develop into a much stronger player, at least offensively. Last year, he developed some go to moves that he can use to beat his defenders, like those tear drops and stutter steps. He will depend on his 3 pointer for his entire career, but at least he wont be a one-dimensional player like matt caroll or vujacic or any other 3 chucking white players... Any thoughts on his potential?

Potential would be a peja.

Hit threes in bunches yet still effective in an offensive set, coming off screens etc.

Vujajic might be permanent three point shooter, but hw is a pretty good defender and brings a lot of energy. He definetly is not one dimensional.

As for Kapono, I agree, I think he can do a something more apart from shooting 3s. I also think that his defense was slightly better at the end of the season, so maybe he can improve a little more in that field too.

^^Riley himself said that Kaponos team defense was very good. He will probably be better knowing that JO is now behind him.

All last season I saw him as a Hornacek-type guy, keeping defenders honest and ready to take the ball towards the paint. Hornacek was a little lighter on his feet defensively, but the smarts are there with Kapono. I'm really starting to hope that he plays the bulk of his minutes with the starters. He's just not the right guy to depend on for filling up the net regularly on a second unit. He needs to play a more cerebral game where he's having a bigger overall impact.
