Interesting read...

I posted in another thread I can see Kanter going to either minny or Utah. Both teams could use him. Would be interesting if Williams drops outta the top 2 - or Irving with his horrible conditioning (big red flag that maybe he's not over his injury). If that happens Knight could drop to the Raps.

LOL can you imagine if the Cavs took him 1st to pair with JJ Hickson then draft Knight at 4? I could see that.

i think i know why he refused the bucks. he would get little playing time with bogut there. if he is willing to come here then he could be a nice pick.

He lasted approximately 21 minutes on a brutal treadmill test that includes steep inclines, declines and sprints, putting himself atop the big man class when it comes to being dedicated about his body.

"He went 21-plus minutes on the treadmill test, and only five guys -- plus Enes -- [did that] and four of them were guards," Ergul told SI.com. "[NBA officials] said that was the first time in the draft in modern history that had happened, that no 6-11-plus guys ever finished 21-minutes-plus on the treadmill test ... People don't realize how prepared this kid is, how dedicated he is."

damn that's extremely impressive to be that athletic and that big

i was among the skeptics but based on the combine he looks amazing, ill be curious to see how his workouts with teams go, im almost hoping he slides down to 5th now tho

I think Kanter refused the Bucks because it would simply be a waste of time. It's unlikely that he'll drop down to 10.

forme123 05-23-2011 11:16 PM

is it just me or does his hair look drawn on? lol

Dark Knight 05-23-2011 11:25 PM

I don't think I want Kanter here. I mean, obviously he is talented enough to be a top 5 pick, but judging from this video, he lacks the aggressiveness in the paint that I want from my center.

even in the video he looks agressive enough. dont forget, hes what, 18? 19? and hes already in the 250 weight range, and could grow another inch or two when alls said and done. this guy will be good, mark my words.

LX 05-23-2011 11:57 PM

He weighed in at nearly 260 in fact

5.9% almost half of Irving and Williams....impressive when 260

Honestly if we don't get either Irving, Williams, Knight or Kanter this draft is a bust for us. How do we fall into the one spot that really sucks?

rapsmannn 05-24-2011 02:24 AM

well as long as he is not dictating on where he is going to go

I'm good with that

if he did like rubio and Yi Jianlian it probably wouldn't look good prospect wise anyways considering where those two are at this point of htere career

lets say he does get drafted by the raps, I don't want to hear him wine and bitch about it

Nites 05-24-2011 02:38 AM

Kanter looks really good.

halphbreedballer 05-24-2011 09:21 AM

He's got a Kevin love type game under the rim...

fancylad 05-24-2011 10:00 AM

I think he'd be a great pick.

Stonezz 05-24-2011 12:36 PM

yea I like him

MikeToronto 05-24-2011 12:47 PM

To all those who "want Kanter" - you guys are ready to pick a player just by analyzing some metrics and looking @ a 2-years old tape?

I am not saying he won't be a good player or a good pick for the Raps. I am just saying that any draft is a crap-shoot, but this one appears to be especially so, with not even a clear-cut top two any longer after all the conditioning questions surrounding Williams and Irving. It appears that someone is pretty much guaranteed to "fall into BC's lap", although it might also be Walker. ;)

box92 05-24-2011 01:03 PM

hes probably going to end up being a good player, but I dont think he will fall to the 5th pick
