Apparently Kanter will be working out and interviewing with the Jazz for a full day next week, so he's not dodging them. Won't do it with Toronto though.

There is a lot of concerns about Enes' health and even actual age, but he is still top 3 talent. He is very very good. The problem is he wants to be a PF.

PS. I hope my favorite player, Jonas Valanciunas, ends up being far away from Toronto...

Wow....just wow.....guys like this are worth passing up on because of their immaturity and ability to become a cancer. Talent is one thing, but personality is just as important.

And Washington DC as a larger market? No one has ever given a damn about that franchise except for when MJ was there. Hell, there's barely anyone at their games. Yeah, go play for them, along with Blatche and McGee, two of the dumbest players in the league. Enjoy your winning.

+1.

I just watch his interview, and i really don't want him in toronto.
can we take some serious professional player than some scubs who think they are the best.
Williams, kanter, morris, etc... seems like they really don't kknow anything about bieng humble.
they don't have play a pro game, but their are better than some who have played for somes years !

i don't follow draft process in the past years, but that scare me a lot.

irving, walker and knight seem more prompt to be honest.

It really is too bad about Irving not coming here. Not only does the kid have a lot of talent, even if he isn't a future superstar he sounds like a pretty good guy. His family bypassed the whole LeBron James entourage for a low-profile agent who sold his family on (relative) austerity and making sure his career earnings lasted his entire life. His family sounds solid.

the fact that even an international player wouldn't come play for us is a terrible sign

or maybe he just feels storngly he won't be available at 5.. he was very impressive at the combine and appeared more athletic than NBA execs had thought

We shouldn't be drafting another project Center. Especially one that someone has to ask "CAN he play Center".

Hm, if you want center, draft Jonas...
Jan Vesely is the same raw as Jonas and he is SF... His rebound numbers are shitty, he may can play some minutes as PF, but he cant be a C.
He is also a terrible shooter. 50% FT shooter, what else to say.
The guy is fast, loves run the floor, always first in transition offense, he is athetic, good defender. Taller and more athletic Kirilenko at best. Not a Center.

I know the guy, he is great and he doesn't deserved that. And he is not like Rubio, he wants to play in the NBA as soon as possible, I can guarantee. Only concern is his buyout.

Dude, Toronto fans are not even close to being the worst on Euros. I've seen the Pro Sports Daily board and Real GM and even ESPN boards, the common boards, and there's alot of discriminatory comments.

And any raptor fan that makes a comment on euros, is typically a douche and is usually shouted down at (at least here).

I think Jonas gets a lot of unnecessary hate.

I've watched a bunch of his game tape over the last couple of days, and one of the things I like most about the guy is that he plays angry.

Loves to dunk on people, bang in the post, hustle hard for offensive rebounds.

I sorta liken him to Biedrins with a little bit of that Bogut intensity.

Not saying we should draft him or anything, but the kids alright.

I wasen't saying he is like Hoffa. I meant if we take him it at 5 it will be a very similar situation, In that it will be a babcockian waste of a pick.

I say we take Jimmer hostage from the Mormans with our 5th pick and trade him Deavon Harris and what ever else we can bleed out of them.

These are sports forums. They attract a certain kind of person sometimes.

I was just thinking how often on these forums our European members have commented on a player's race. It really doesn't matter - you don't draft a guy because he's black or white or whatever. You draft a guy because he can play. Any scout that makes a decision like that based on race and not talent loses his job, or more likely, never gets it in the first place.

It's true that a lot of people comment on a player being from Europe. To me, that just means they have no way of evaluating a player's game. They just read the first three lines of his draft profile and make a lazy comment on a forum. "He's the next Euro bust just like Hoffa!" - or something to that effect. Well, most professional scouts have this guy rated in the top 10 of this draft, and in the top 2-3 center prospects, some even number one at that position. Those scouts don't give a damn where he's from. If he's legit they want to be the one to have seen it ahead of time.

Personally, I've responded to some of the ignorant comments. I think that to most people someone who simply states the obvious (that a player is from Europe) and has nothing to add isn't well received in the conversation. I've started just ignoring them because playing chess with a chimpanzee is tiring, and no one ever wins.

And I know Hoffa wasn't European.

In the end though, if Valanciunas were to succeed as a Raptor, the fans would love him. Especially with his personality. He's a really good fit for this fan base.
