First comes acceptance and then you just get used to it I guess. The purple uniforms from Vince's second year were (apart from the color scheme that rocked and still rocks imho) a mishmash of styles and elements that had nothing to do with our logo. And where the hell did those chevrons come from??

Designing goodlooking unis is a lost art but whatever the Drake/TL braintrust comes up with I'm sure we'll get used to it, especially if it's Wiggins wearing them!

This is very true but if even guys like Brent Barry start voicing their opinion you know it's a topic that lives in the NBA as a whole...

At first I didn't like it, but it has grown on me. It reflects the city well, the logo is hella cool and now I think it's pretty sweet.

What's that smell? Ah yes, it's quite pungent.

Blue and white has nothing to do with T-Wolves and everything to do with Leafs and Toronto. Huskies are not the fluffiest and friendlies of canines - they are fierce, hard-working pack animals one step removed from the grey wolves and can be very dangerous to humans who don't know how to handle them. And the name has a lot to do with Canada and the history of basketball in Toronto.

I can see the problem with a lot of domain names, of course, so I'd seriously think about registering huskiesforum.com....

Why can't people just agree to keep the Raptors name. I personal like it and I even wish we would go back to the old retro jerseys with the Dinosaur. So far I haven't seen any great replacement names, and it could be worse like the Pelicans

Pelicans is the shittiest name.

Toronto Gryffindors would have been hilarious.

But please instead for hogtown....don't even have to change the colour to something not red and white.
So much stupid in this post it makes my head hurt. I really hope you were being sarcastic with most of this, and even so it wasn't very clever. Huskies is fine, and at least Toronto could institute a traditional colour scheme (white and blue). Plus Huskies rolls off the tongue, it is a noble winter dog. It represents Canada perfectly.

Pelicans is a fine name. A sports name doesn't have to be fearsome, it should encompass traditional elements of the city or state and have a branding advantage. The pelican is a cool bird, a prideful Louisiana bird for that matter, and it is no worse than a Laker or a Knickerbocker, two classic team names. I can understand people with the mind of a teenager saying "lol Pelicans thats so lame they should be somethin badass", but try to put things into perspective here people.

Huskies is the only way to go, and I pray management will not drop the ball this time when they do eventually go for the re brand. Anyone who supports the Raptors name has been deluded by the name recognition. It is horrible and indefensible as a brand choice. When historians look back on the failures of democracy, the choice of this team name by stupid fans should be up there as one of the greatest examples.

Okay MikeToronto I guess we agree to disagree. You're obviously a big supporter of the Huskies name but your reasoning behind it puzzles me, because:

This is simply not true. Blue and white are the Wolves main colors. Okay they have some grey and black in there but blue and white stand out the most. You would be the first all-white and blue team but is that unique enough? Maybe, maybe not. I could go for that but don't add any red to it because your uniforms will look too much like the Clippers and Sixers alternate jerseys.

This is just a matter of how you choose to look at them, and I think you are romanticizing things. They might be proud animals and all that but at the end of the day they're nothing but domesticized wolves, and that automatically makes them less fierce or wild than the Twolves. You don't have to go for fierce and wild just know that the comparison will always be there and the Twolves will always come out on top IMHO.

Also you can't design a logo that will not look like the Wolves current or past logo, I read it's the reason why the franchise wasn't named Huskies in the first place.

Could you explain to me why 1 year and a losing record means more to T.O. than 20 years of Raps with also a lot of losing but also a bit of succes and good times.

Huskies fit the Canadian culture, and that's a good reason for going with that name. But I wouldn't say there are any viable reasons beyond that. Perhaps it takes a little objectivity to see that...

I love Huskies but Huskies is way overused, I don't mind the name Raptors at all but if they come up with another cool name that's not outplayed than I'm for it

So much stupid in this post it makes me cry for better education for youth. Oh I get it...your entire post is sarcasm, except the last sentence.

Do you even know why the Lakers are named the Lakers youngster?
