Great vid, once again!

I love how the kid takes it in. He's not gonna get to the rim that easy in the NBA games, but the fact that he attacks the rim as much as possible is a great sign. He also can finish with a lot of bodies around him, while absorbing contact. That should translate well to the NBA game. Can't wait to see him suit up in a real Raps uniform!

i like how he handles the ball in transition and how he attacks the rim (you're right tho, acie)... but dude needs to learn to square up on his jumper. nba players are going to d him up a lot tighter than that, and they'll be a lot more physical too. no way he can hit jumpers while floating around with his legs all askew like that in the pros.

Yup I like the aggressiveness too, but real NBA players aren't going to part like the Red Sea or back off him like these Summer League dudes. He's also not going to be very popular with his teammates. However, it is only Summer League and he's got lots of time to figure these things out. I like him already.

If you keep waiting for VC2, you will be sadly disappointed. Derozan is not nearly as fluid and has no where near the hops that VC had...even at 19.

Lets just hope for a solid slasher and not "Heir Canada".

I like the negative critique being given to the 19 year old rookie on his thier game of what, like 15+ points? On drives, and taking it strong, and high percentage 14 footers????

I question the actual basketball knowledge in this place some days.

Personally, I am thrilled at what this kid brings.

it's somehow wrong to observe that his legs are flying out in all directions when he shoots? it's somehow inappropriate to notice that there is a problem with shooting fundamentals?

acknowledging what you like and observing what needs to be worked on is exactly what fans do when they see rookies play, sj. hell, i even started my post with "i like..."

jeez...

That was very random.

Also, I missed the game again last night. I just hope during pre-season DD can play as good as he does now. Can't wait for the regular season to start

It wouldn't surprise me if the coaches were telling Demar to keep the ball in situations where he might actually be able to pass it. Face it, there is one, maybe two, guys on the summer league roster that will even get a sniff of a chance to make this team. As much as summer league is a vehicle to find diamonds in the rough, I can personally guarantee that Jay Triano is more worried about getting shots for Demar than he is about getting touches for Demetris Nichols.

Let the kid jack up shots in peace.
