I don't blame Derozan at all for those particular missed FGAs. He had the right idea by trying to get to the rim. On another night, he probably shoots 12 or 14 free throws after playing the same way. Playing the exact same way he did yesterday but getting the calls, he could just as easily have scored 33-35 points on 25 shots, because 3 of those FGA would have been erased and instead would have been him at the line getting an extra 4-6 FTAs.
DD is least of my worries now, he is playing hard and is slowly earning respect from the refs.

DD has actually been fairly consistent. He's had a few stinkers but for the most part he's been scoring well, rebounding well, getting to the line and TAKING CARE OF THE BALL. 1.6 TO's per game for the year.
+1 to this.

DD's impressed me this season. He's definitely improved.

There's no rules or regulations that state you must conform with the opinion of other posters. If that was the case there would be no point in debate and this place would be extremely dull and tedious.
That's the thing that you don't seem to understand though.... this isn't just based on ONE game. This is based on YEARS of shoddy play with minimal effort.

This isn't Year 2 for Bargs.... It's year 7.

It shouldn't be a battle against life itself for him to grab 10 rebounds... or get to the line 6-8 times/night.

A little over the top melodrama there.

Bargs goes into beast mode when he puts the ball on the floor. He's extremely mobile for, yep u heard it from me, A 7 FOOTER! he should have done this against the spurs, but didn't enough. but! point here is, when the refs swallow their whistles cause popovich is a pussy, it gets less and less motivating to go to the basket, get cut up by flailing hands, and get no call. I feel bad for him. dude hustled on the defensive end last game. he had a defensive play which sent it into second overtime, he stopped parker from penetrating, something the entire team, not even lowry, was able to do. these refs are really getting on my nerve

He is not EXTREAMLY mobile for a 7 footer, he gets past defenders when they bite on his pump fakes. TBH he seems to be very robotic at times

At times? Try the vast majority of the time.

robotic he may be but he still get's by defenders. very few pf in the league who can defend a raging Bargnani to the rim. he was more mobile last year, and hence a better player. he's had to rely on his jumpshot more this season. I still stick to the fact that if Bargnani drops 10 pounds, he's much improved

he used to be 10lbs lighter and was as inconsistent as ever.

13, more than an eighth of an nba season, the majority of which he was injured or coming back from an injury. He played at an unstoppable level, which was my entire point. Bargnani, when he wants to, can be an absolute monster. these 10 pounds have derailed him even when he was intense, on the offensive end at least. he was intense yesterday everywhere except for the offensive end which factored in with those 10 pounds and cocksucker refs you can't really blame him for. he just needs to drop 10 goddamn pounds. I can do that in a month while being a full time uni student striving for a 4.0 gpa, he should be able to in 2 weeks...

and the other games last season and the 14 games this season, let's just forget about those.

it's ok, Bargnani needs more time for him to show his potential. he does more complicated things than rebounding and defense anyway. he should never ever ever go to the bench (and also needs to play 35-40 mpg) because the team would greatly suffer from his league leading efficient scoring because it spaces the floor for everyone else on the team. he also is clearly the best player on this team. he never stagnates the offense either, always taking it to the rim hard and being aggressive, looking for offensive rebounds, while also being really unselfish at the same time and never turning the ball over. just give Bargnani more time, he's 27 but it's still very young. also, for the amount of money he makes and his league admiring offense he can easily be traded for that SF which this team has needed. Bargs is fine, he just needs some time, he'll regain his form, not that he ever lost it though.

It's amazing the excuses we hear when it comes to this player, and we always hear stuff like "when he wants to".......this fucker will never change and there will always be a question of whether he "wants to".

I think JVAL is everything the Raptors wanted Bargnani to be. Hopefully some of JVAL's hustle and determination rub off on Andrea.

Still think Sunday's game was a rare occurence. He's a good shooter, that kind of night cannot be explained, especially after he couldn't miss the night before.

At the same time we were playing the Spurs and if you look at the other shooters aside from JVAL and Ed, they all had below 400 shooting percentage, Bargnani's however was the worst.

Lowry 6/16
Derozan 11/28
Calderon 3/14

Its very clear that the Bargnani era is coming to an end and deservedly so. The sooner the fans who doubt this can accept it,the sooner we can all move on. Shit,LeBron led the Cavs to an NBA Finals appearance, then back to back 60+ wins seasons as the player his franchise was building around,Bargnani has been the player the Raps have been building around, why should he been exempt from blame?

And yes Valanciunas is better than Bargnani right now and for this team moving forward.
