LX.

Like I said, I'm not gonna get too far into this. I could go into detail about both players complete games, but why we have battered this to death.

I'm on record saying many wonderful things about Ford. Period.

But to save time and enrergy, you have to narrow it down to the issues that the whole thing came down to. Calderon is a team PG, and Ford, is not.

Thats it. One is Pass first, one is shoot first. One guy was good at creating

There is no need to vebally destrtoy the issue, it's been done to death.

Keep it simple I always say, I have never seen the value in repeating things you have already covered.

It's been decided, in the Raptor camp, that Calderon is th ebetter fit to make both the team, and his mates better, if the reasons are only just barely different, they are still different, and shot selection, and a tendancy to freeze his offence and kill his shooters rhythm went against Ford. You and I both know that the actual reasons this happen are much more complex, but if you are hoping to utilize outside shooting, you simply MUST have a guard that keeps your snipers hands active, both with simple ball swings, and open looks.

Happy now?

Cranky ole bastard.

:P

Less is more. More or less. But mostly less. Or should that be more?

Other than the insistence on saying Ford is a shoot-first guy, I like that last post much better. Relative to Jose he is, but relative to Nash or Arenas, both of whom you have nothing but love for, he is not so much.

Much has been decided in the Raptor camp beyond what they are looking for from the pg position. I would say they are placing much less importance on the position altogether. Which is a good thing. It was an overall lack of balance which was their downfall last season. Jose was not going to make his mates better to the point where that became a non-factor. I actually remember him struggling through a good stretch of last season, so the need to get some balance was vital to him, and Bosh, and all the role players for that matter.

And I agree wholeheartedly about the douching a dead horse. That's why I questioned the dropping of a napalm douche on young people who know fuck all. I mean I know a japanese website that says my brain is working as though it were 25, and I thought that was a good thing, so eat it. :P

Calling my comments BS will not make your thoughts more valuable. When I watched TJ I didn't see the team moving in harmony. I don't like his style and I believe his ego is too high for a PG. Just my humble opinion.

Anywho, I am also new to posting here. I appreciate all of your informed postes (for those who put in the effort ;p)...this IS the most I am looking forward to the Raptors team, the 08/09 team...picking up another, albiet very risky (injury is concerned) player, has been a well calculated move. The man is/was a super star, and appears to have the drive...which is important. Will he deliver.....well this is something we will discuss in 82 games, but regardless, if it HELPS the other the players to up their game for the fact that potential IS THERE, then I think successful move on BC's part...

Anywase, I've been to 1 game (the blowout for Raptors vs. NY Nicks (at the time the most the Raptors had beatin' a team - not sure if that stands as the record))... I love watching this team, even on TV, and I am sure you guys agree. The current roster has brought something to Toronto that never existed. Lets look forward to a REWARDING YEAR ahead
