OOOOO- k

I've always said Sam was a better coach then Triano, and i would have rather he stayed on last season and maybe fire him for a more experienced coach last summer.

yeah i'm not sure sam was our man but to replace him with triano who really excels at absolutely nothing, except maybe after time out plays (i.e an assistant coach), was an alarmingly asinine, stubborn decision.

give me anybody that is willing to make a tough decision. Or an easy decision.

Triano has now just reached the point where he'll actually pull a guy from a game if he is fucking up miserably, but he makes sure they know he'll put them back in, he just wants them to think about it. Good job Jay. How about just doing everything that you need to do to make sure the most effective five guys are on the court at any given time? How about winning games? Can we sort out the feelings later, and maybe expect that the players are going to respect your decisions? But then they would have to see you actually make some decisions that require you to exercise some actual authority.

He was shit. Glad he's gone. If anything we needed an experienced coach. Hence i thought we shoulda signed Jay for a year only to see how he did

so if he was shit then what is triano? there's no denying he's more of a liability though obviously colangelo was also confused into lusting for "more style" rather than "more wins"

furthermore he knew triano was a non-entity - something he could coax and not have to compete with from an ego standpoint...and that's exactly part of the reason why he's an ineffective nba head coach.

Nahhh, his suites look like shit. No way he's using Colangelo's tailors, at least Sam had great suites and a much better personality. Triano looks like a nerdy teacher or something.

Reporter: Do you think the Raptors have the chance to win a game without Bosh and Bargagni in the lineup today? Do you think they can play through injuries? Will the team even try today?

Sam: Your questions are ugly. Why do you keep askin' me these stupid questions? they don't even make any sense. Look at you(points to a reporter) and look at you(points to another). You know what the difference is? You're butt ugly and you're more butt ugly.

BC shoulda left the coaching staff the way it was...Smitch leading with Triano and English under him. Not the best but WAY better than Triano as number one. Smitch just needed some talent.

Mitchell was bad but Triano sure makes him look like a god. Mitchell's defensive philosophy was to let the guy drive middle which is pretty bad in a league with players who can penetrate at will. My experience playing basketball you never let a guy drive middle. This was almost as bad as O'Neill's hold the ball for 20 seconds and shoot philosophy. But what is Triano's philosophy? Leave your man on the 3 pt line. Or on offense let Jose dribble it for 24 seconds. Or when we are in need of a bucket give it to Hedo and dont even have a play ready cuz Hedo is sooooooo damn clutch.

Triano is the problem and its BC's fault that he is. Why give an unproven coach a multiyear contract? It's not like a bunch of other teams are going to come scoop him up if he doesn't like the deal. Triano you need to step up. No more practice or 10 new player excuses. Play the players that are doing well and you should do fine.

Mitchell wasn't a good coach. He was a good motivator, but not a good coach.

I guess "give the ball to Chris" could have given us a few more wins.

I don't believe Sam is the better coach, but I do agree he's a better motivator and why this bunch of softies need motivation at the pro level is beyond me but I think it would go a long way right now.

Isn't it the main job of the coach to motivate? Isn't it the job of the coach to get the most out of the talent assembled? Sam was head and shoulders above Triano in that respect.

Also, game management is important, but...

Is Phil Jackson the brains behind the triangle offense or is he a good motivator?

Did Jerry Sloan invent the pick and roll or is he a good motivator?

Did Doc Rivers come up with Celtics smothering style of D or is he a good motivator?

Sam had crummy assitants. Good thing we didn't keep his staff virtually intact and make one of them his predecessor.
