jumpball

ok i don't usually start threads, being lazy is more my style but i've seen something the past two games(one reg, one pre) thats driving me fucking insane

WHY THE FUCK IS BARGNANI (a giant guard anomally that has no lift what so ever without a run) taking the jump? In what realm does dwayne casey live where he's been watching bargnani practice for the past month and still hasn't figured out that bargnani can't jump over a phone book without a head of steam?

whens the last time bargnani caught a passed right at the bucket and went up with limited momentum flush it with two hands the way ed or amir do?

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, looks like we start everygame automaticly down one possession. Might as well have jose take the jump because with bargnani's slow reaction time and limited lift this team is not going to win one tip off this season

grannyfro out

Granny, maybe he's worse at recovering the jumpball.

ha . Seriously though, i'm not even trying to bash bargnani's effort i just honest to god think he's incapable of winning tips and can't understand why he would take them over amir(or put ed in there to start, hell james johnson at the 3 could even win more)

when bargnani takes the tip the other team casually bats the ball to their guards with no resistance. Its ridiculous way to start a game when you consider how many games are won by one possession in this league

or.. maybe i'm just wrong and bargnani is just killing amir at the tip offs in practice , give me that ball bitch

i have often wondered the same thing.

I wonder how I can hate on Bargnani today.

I've seen Bargnani jump over two phonebooks and a tv guide.

not without momentum you haven't, his toes don't even get off the ground at tip(or blocking a shot). Only has the lift to get his heels in the air

go back to hating on Casey lol

GrannyFro 12-27-2011 02:08 PM

to bargnani's credit if tip offs were taken with a running start he might not be so bad, he just cant jump without momentum.

also want too add that since posted this i now expect bargnani to win tommrows tip off, maybe even the next one after that. I expect to look like an ass during this period

but then he'll miss the next 20

I'm totally detecting a budding bromance!

Maybe Casey wants first possession for the second half.

GrannyFro 12-27-2011 03:06 PM

wait a minute, this works differently than i thought. The raps only lose first possesion in the fourth by losing the tip so its not so bad. Might as well leave bargnani in there to lose em all, he needs to work those stationary jumping muscles anyhow and the tip is good exercise

casey knows what hes doing here, i'll shut up

ya,i was about to say, no matter who wins the tip, both teams get the possesion to start off 2 quarters.

Jeremy 12-27-2011 03:45 PM

Bargs needs some time. I'm confident he will be a valuable member of the squad.

Dark Knight 12-27-2011 04:30 PM

Let's put DeMar in there to take the jump. He'd probably win more jump-balls than Il Mago. :reporter:

SoGood 12-27-2011 05:01 PM

hypothetically, raps lose every jumpball of the beginning of every game.
they still get possession to start the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

it balances out.

DanH 12-27-2011 05:21 PM

Yeah, if they go to overtime and Bargs is still taking the tip, then you can complain.
