Anytime there has been a hate thread on Jose I have always supported him. Find me one post that says Jose is horrible and that we should trade him. I have never ever said that. At any mention of trading Jose I have always been saddened by that.

I am sorry I don't post as much as I used to so I can't post in all of the anti-Jose threads. From a couple years ago:

I'm not holding my breath. It might be a good for us if nothing happens for a couple of months. If Jose does well at the Olympics, his value will go up. Also, on a related note, if Dallas is interested in Jose, I like the idea of getting Darren Collison back. I believe Dallas can trade Collison during the first week of September.

Collison + TPE for Jose.

That gives us a solid back-up for Lowry. Also, like Lowry, Collison is young and could grow with the core.

I also wouldn't mind Delonte West. Dallas could S&T him to us for Caldy. Delonte can play some back-up PG. He'd be an okay 2nd unit guy, and is a pretty good defender. Just keep him away from Lowry's mom.

West + TPE for Caldy

I'm sure we can get a pick or 2 from them along with those players too.

Consider 76ers is loaded with swingmans - Iggy, Wright, Mo Harkless, Thaddeus Young, Turner.. So I'm 99% sure they are more than willing to trade Iggy for a position that they need to fill.

I would suggest this trade: Calderon + Derozan + Ed Davis <-> Iggy + Vucevic
followed by Raptos deal with Wolves: James Johnson <-> Luke Ridnour

Then get Ben Uzoh for $1M/yr.

That will give us a lineup of:

PG - Lowry, Ridnour, Uzoh
SG - Iggy, Ross
SF - Fields, Kleiza
PF - Barg, Amir, Acy
C - JV, Gray,Vucevic

Maybe you get a heavily protected pick in a trade for Delonte. I don't know why you think Dallas would just give away picks. Unless you're talking about a 2nd rounder, which has low value.

Collison is particularly valuable because he is on a rookie contract, and the Mavs know...a) we will be looking for back-up PG...b) the deal gives us cap space we can use. That's NOT a scenario where they likely cave and give picks.

L.A. got one pick for Odom when they had to deal him and the Mavs knew it. Collison is the equivalent of a good 1st round pick. We're not likely to get more than that, given the position we're in. The Lakers TPE was valuable, and that's going to be considered when the Mavs trade with us. The cap space they'd help us create is like giving us an asset, from their perspective. The Mavs are less likely to cave.

If Colangelo got Collison, $7 mill in cap space, and a 1st rounder for Calderon, he would deserve a pat on the back, considering the cap space could then likely facillitate another beneficial move.

BTW, I checked Dallas's current pick situation in case the idea of picks comes up in other people's trade scenarios.

It's impossible to get Dallas to include any of their own first round picks in a deal done this summer, no matter what players are involved, because they have an outstanding obligation to Houston that ties up their future picks and could involve them sending their 2018 pick to the Rockets. That prevents them from sending a future pick that could be owed in 2019. And you can't trade 2020 picks until next year. The pick to Houston is top 20 protected until 2018. So, that obligation prevents Dallas from sending us their "1st round pick in 2015 or first available draft", because the "first available draft" might not come until 2019.

So no need to talk about 1st rounders from Dallas, at least for now.

We will go as Bargs goes this year !

My family is from Italy and Bargs will be my guy !
We better trade Bargs too!

don't know if Utah picked up another PG after they traded Harris. they could be possible trade partners. Houston has no starting PG and his contract won't hurt their chances in 2013 free agency. they have 20 players on their roster to choose from

They got Mo Williams and Earl Watson I believe
Mo is an option tho. Jose will suit Utah perfect

And Roddy Beaubois would be great. You could say he is a tiny SG, but we don't need more than that for second unit PG

Now that Jose has gone public with his desire to leave through his agent confirming to ESPN,it's going to be hard for the Raptors to trade him and get fair value in return. They should still try to package him for a SF. Gay and Iguodola are unlikely at this point but they may be able to acquire Wilson Chandler in a three team deal.

If the can make this team deal with Denver and Phoenix work,it could be the best offer the Raptors propose.

To Denver: Channing Frye & Josh Childress
To Phoenix: Jose Calderon, Timofey Mozgov (or Chris Anderson or Denver Conditional 1st Round Pick) & Jordan Hamilton
To Toronto: Wilson Chandler

Approved on ESPN's trade machine----> NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

Frye and Childress don't net you Chandler.
All the teams that want Jose will be lowballing in hopes he is amnestied, thats true.

When was the last time a Raptor asked for a trade?

Trade Breakdown

Toronto
•Get Small Forward who can start
•Signed through 5 years at a reasonable price.
•Chandler first visited the Raptors after returning from China which hints he has interest in the team

Denver
•Frye allows them to spread the floor offensively and use different line ups with AL & Faried.
•Childress can start or come off the bench playing SG/SF
•Both exeperienced and under 30.

Phoenix
•Calderon can start and be a guy who Marshall learns from(similar games)
•receive expiring contracts in Calderon/Mozgov which leaves more cap space to pursue FA's after the coming season.
•Opens up more playing time for last year's 1st round pick Markieff Morris up front with Frye gone.
