Default Jose has earned the starting spot !

The more we see Jose start the more we all can see that once again Calderon is the better pg. It never fails everytime BC brings in the new pg and gives the new guy the fucking keys we always crash. We added some pieces this year but our strongest piece last year was Jose.....so why not fucking start him and give him burn......you play your best pg and its Jose......he earned the right last year and hes showing it again. Playing 14 mins off the bench is fucking crazy.....Calderon is making BC look like a fool once again at Lowrys expence !!! We say we improved so give Jose a chance to run with the new guys !!!!

This love affair with Calderon needs to end, he demanded a trade so he's gonna be traded soon or he'll leave in free agency.

Its not love for fuck sakes open up the fucking eyes......again Calderon is showing the organization they fucked up. If Lowry , Jack, TJ, ETC were better then hats off to them......but that not was not the case......Calderon makes our offence look so much better.....Calderon plays with the same guys as Lowry why does he look so much better when starting getting more minutes.....give him a run he never should have lost his starting role.....think for one fucking second what we could have got instead of lowry for that first round pick playing with Calderon and the rest....our we on this fucking board as bad our management...........

Calderon does make the offence better...

If he puts up consecutive strong performances and they help us earn a couple victories, I could see DC starting to consider leaving him as a starter once KL is healthy.

Jose can and is starter material, but only given a competent team with talent will he be effective. That being said, Lowry is surely more talented and his defensive deficiencies aren't as exposed with this cast he's playing with.

Calderon is playing with some players who are terrible skilled on help-defense.

I'm not arguing Calderon is not a good player but we need to move on. Lowery has more potential than Calderon whose in his thirties. If you haven't noticed, and it's been made painfully clear this season, we are still a rebuilding team. We need pieces to rebuild around, a thirty something point guard who can't defend isn't what we need. No matter how you look at it even if we kept him, by the time we get good he's gonna be traded.

He showed it last year....was our d not in the top half l....was Calderon not a starter last year....Lowry is a gambler.....i said it right from day one....why does he always get the most rebounds .....because hes all over the god damm place.....rebounding 101 box out your man...Lowry never does sorry very seldom does and when he does not get the rebound hes out to lunch and we get killed running around.....i dont fucking care how fast you are because if you dont know where u going you will never get there.

To baseball fans...stealing a base is not all about speed its about reading the pitcher and picking the right time to go.....Lowry would suck stealing bases in MLB. Maybe this could put it into perspective for the ones that have trouble seeing it on the basketball court.

You are absolutely right then why fucking Lowry hes fucking 26 , he has quick feet for a 26 year old but between the ears hes weak....Lowry at 30 will be shit compared to Calderon. You want to build then you keep your 1st round pick.....get yourself a 22-23 point guard haveCaldy there to give the rookie time to break in. BC got fucked hosed in this trade and it continues to look worst as the season goes on. I wish i can say i am full of shit...but guess what I am not ifyou understand the game you would agree.

it was never about Calderon. it was about combination of him with terrible help defence from our bigs (mainly Bargs). player like Calderon could make so many NBA teams better as there backup PG or even a starter... I believe he's our better trade piece than Bargs.

he demanded a trade because the Raptors tried to trade every chance they get,

to be honest i wasnt to happy when we traded for lowry becuase i thought he wasn't much better than jose

also whenever houston came into town i always viewed lowry as a guy who was over valued and a team we can beat

Interesting that Jose was playing basically with the same players he plays with on the second team, so why is he so lousy when that group would come on as in game replacements? Same players, different results. I guess that Jose's ego gets satisfied when he starts, but he pouts and craps out when the same players are used as the subs. It's been going on since he arrived here with all the related PG controversies. He isn't the "team player" as much as he is the " mind games" player.

We've been a losing team with him, and we will be as long as his "act" is allowed to continue.

I am not supriesed Jose has asked to be traded the Raptors have always taken away his minutes for point guards that have not done one thing with the Raptors many times. Now Lowry is going to be unhappy because he got handed a job then lost it, same thing happened with Ford and Jack. If Lowry had of just come off the bench to start the season it would have been a lot easier on the whole team. That way Lowry could have earned his starting minutes or stayed on the bench.

Jose might be a good point guard to rebuild this team with he does not depend on athletisim so he might be still on top of his game in his mid 30s. Lowry depends on athletisim so much he might have less good nba years left in him then Jose. Also a player that does not depend on athletisim so much can usually pass on more to young players.

I agree, it was a joke trading so much for KL when Caldy is a perfectly good starter on any team in this league.

Another BC disaster, like DDs contract, LF and pretty much every other move he's made since drafting JV.

Lowry and Calderon have had little impact on the win column, except that Lowry has played barely 20 games with the team(if that),while Calderon has played and gelled with the most relevant players on the team for probably at least. 3-4 years now. Jose knows these guys hot and cold spots,he should be producing the type of numbers he does as a starter and it should translate into more wins, but it doesn't.
