Jose - Ford Debate - Who Stays Who goes?

Personally I feel Jose is the better point guard, more of a team player and used to the pressure situations from his play in Europe, but give your opinion.

From what BC said on Game Day, I'm thinking TJ's gone and I'm down with that. Regardless, one of them is goin'.

I hate to say it guys but I think BC will do a sign and trade with Jose going to the Knicks. The Knicks want to change the attitude and with Jose in their line up that will point them in the right direction.

Hasn't BC like guaranteed Jose's staying?

Anyways, considering our records with Jose getting his 30 mpg and then our record with the two splitting the time, it's an easy question. I think TJ has potential, it's just not going to be here.

Jesus .... you are a martyr aren't you raptor123? Stay away from cliffs and building ledges.

Anyhow, BC has said Jose's going nowhere and why would he want to help the Knicks in the first place? Better question, which garbage do we retain from New York in return? Get a grip man.

I'd only trade Jose to the Knicks if we got Beasely back.

BC has pretty much said Jose will be resigned and the offseason will be spent letting TJ know that he needs to put the team first and if he can't a decision will be made about his future with the club.

Ha ha ha I say get rid of TJ and Mitch. Bring in the sun's coach when he becomes available in the summer and lets go after Marion from the heat for TJ.

You honestly believe D'Antoni is coach? The guy has no clue what he's doing in Phoenix and it really shows in the playoffs.

I also think that TJ going to Dallas is kind of a natural fit with Kidd not being there long term having a guy like TJ could put them in good position for their future, espescially since they traded Harris.

Sun's mistake was bringing in Shaq. Just that one guy just killed the chemistry just like our TJ.

No, the Suns mistake was never wanting to play defense and having a coaching staff which saw this and didn't care.

Well, thats why they brough shack. The problem is that although he is doing a good job agaisnt the bigs, he is so slow that the little guys are just torching him. So Nashs terrible defense+Shaq slowlyness= Ginobilly and Parker gods.

You can't just bring in a player and expect the team to play well defensively. Grant Hill is a good defensive player. Hell, even if you put Bruce Bowen on that squad it wouldn't help. To play defense it needs to be a team concept, hell the team culture. Problem is, the coaching staff continues to rely on offense and then puts pressure on certain players to be their only defensive anchors. It doesn't work.

And Phoenix lost or will lose because they have no depth. They rely on their starters far too often and if they don't play well the team is screwed. Oh well, good because I can't stand that team.

Oh I agree, I think its a mistake to think that bringing one player will resolve your defense problems.

We're debating over two pg's that Jameer Nelson is schooling? Neither of these guys is the star we need.

This team needs an all-star calibre pg with the ability to take over games and play some D. Get rid of the suck and the sieve! I don't need to repeat T.J.'s issues and Calderon looked like a matador on D in game 4.
If we keep Jose it should be at back-up money.

Jose looking like a "matador" on defense will be inevitable and a liability throughout his career but still can make some improvements especially on help defense, but other than that Jose proved to have all the tools to be an all-star PG this season. I think Ford being a distraction and obviously Jose going back to the bench prevented us from seeing Jose's potential of when it counts (i.e playoffs) running the offense for the team. PG for next season should be the least of our worries.

Any PG can be hidden on defence with a good defensive system. Just look at Tony Parker and Jason Williams in MIA's championship year.
