During the press conference today (3:30pm), BC announced that Jose had taken a pay cut of about $60 000 to avoid the team from paying luxury tax.
What do you guys think about that? I mean, it's not like a HUGE pay cut or anything but at least it's something that shows some loyalty and respect, no? I think it's a great gesture, and just shows the type of individual we've brought back to the team. I'm extremely thrilled with the move by BC and can't wait to see more of this guy at the point for next few years. |

Actually, BC said he took a different pay structure when they finalized the deal and specifically said he's getting the same amount.So basically he takes less the first season and the difference is added to next season's salary or over the remaining years of the contract.
