In todays NBA Jose and Kyle can play at the same time a lot of times....I mean both Gordons, Monta Ellis, Avery Bradley all started at SG and they were 6'3 and under.

So they can still both amount significant minutes

Jose and those guys are waaayyy different players. Even Lowry plays different. He needs to be the floor leader. Both Jose and him do actually.

i agree jose and lowry both need to be leaders, but for 10mins a game? I think lowry could play the 2 with his dynamic attacking the hoop plays and outside shooting.

Significant minutes? How many minutes do you think are available at SG with Derozan playing 30mpg and Ross behind him who'll get good minutes at least to start the season to see how he does. And Derozan isn't going to play the 3 with Fields and Kleiza there.

Jose and Lowry would do great as a tandem, and yes, you can give one time at the 2, but, will they want to?

Lowrey has already made it clear he's the new Boss in Toronto, hasn't steppe don the floor yet, has yet to meet all his mates yet, but hey, whatever, is what it is. Jose, is a leader already, and has been offended by the move, and by the fact that he is already treated like yesterdays garbage. The arguments for all that are for another thread, but the fact is, one guy is claiming the throne already, the other is offended and disgruntled.... he cannot stay.

If this was a video game it would work perfectly for a year, then a huge expiring drops off...not bad actually. But, this is real life, real ego's, real issues.....

I wonder how gracious Calderon can be if there isn't a suitor to give Toronto a great return on a trade..which there won't be as who is taking a dude on a trade if he's an UFA in 6 months? Nobody really unless a crazy S&T is done, which is unlikely. So this year might get interesting, ugly, fun, successful....who the fuck knows. What I do know is that Lowry, despite all my bitching on here (which is 100% in response to the nutjobs here that need to denigrate Calderon in order to say lowry is good,. which is just stupid) despite all my bitching, Lowry is a good pg, and so is Calderon, so Toronto as a team, skill wise is looking good at the PG spot regardless.

You seriously think he won't get 30mpg? They're already going on about how he's bigger and stronger and is part of the future of this club. You honestly believe he isn't going to get at least those minutes? He's averaged 35mpg the last 2 seasons, even if his minutes go down some.....more than 5min less? Please.

He'll play 8min per quarter imo. Book it.

The GM at the press conference said the same thing and in fact stated he's being given the keys to the team. When the GM says that what would you expect a player to say or think?

Jeff, honestly, stop. Nothing there is an argument. But if you must.... it doesn't mean fuck all what the GM says in a Presser, you're mistaken if you think it does. The players have their own st of codes/ ethics etc. It's very much the same from HS all the way up that way. The proper way to go about that is to toe the line "I just wanna help the team win, I am ready to go where coach tells me". This is what you say in the media. Lowry hasn't bothered, he has just come in and assumed the top spot, both leadership wise, and on the floor. Thats good, or bad, time will tell, and like I said FOR ANOTHER THREAD.

It seems you only want to have arguments, nothing, EVER can be a discussion. Granted I am usually up for it, it can get a tiny bit exhausting man, cut a brother some lack... you can tear me up on the NHL board soon when they flush it all down the toilet with a lockout!

Fair?

Fair?

Where did i argue?

You were saying that Lowry was declaring himself the top boss, when it was actually the Organization doing that. It's not an arguement. Touchy lately?

Debate, question, whatever...you had to comment on Lowry saying he was top dog, when clearly I said that was for another thread...whether or not he did it for this or that reason is moot for the point I was making, fact is, he did it.

Thats all brother... just saying, we don't need to argue everything all the time, especially when the point Im making is much different.

Know what I'm saying?

Outside of the unsportsmanlike foul, he was virtually invisible, and was through a good part of the tournament.

He was doing what needed to be done. He even managed to defend Kobe somewhat one-on-one to begin the third. Overall, he was distributing the ball and playing defence. I only remember him attempting 1 shot, the three-ball he missed.

His foul on Durant was not intentionally flagrant - that's about how high he can reach, that's all.

Spanish had a perfect plan, they've executed on it and were very close, once again, to an upset. Didn't work out. Give them Kobe or LeBron or Durant - the game is theirs, with a nice cushion too.
