Jose will be getting something around 20mpg so I really don't think he's likely to have those kinds of number. Honestly he'll be gone as soon as one of the better teams gets an injury and decides to downsize instead of ponying up a lot of dough or keeping a core together when it will just cost more then next year.

i'm gonna say around 4.5ppg. But as his focus will surely be purely facilitating our 2nd unit i foresee a really decent apg number.

this.... only true contenders seem to have the luxury of a backup with this kind of quality. I imagine he'll be moved.

Any time he's averaged less than 30mpg the most he's averaged was 5.9apg with 26.7mpg and that was 3yrs ago at 27yrs old. Now at almost 31, if he averages 22-25mpg this season off the bench i can't see him geting 8+.

you realize that calderon's strength isn't athletisicm persay, hence, the older he gets, he actually improves (to a certain extent). I think many would agree that caldy had a better season last year than 3 years ago.

He averaged 8.8apg last season as a starter playing 34mpg. You think he averages 8+apg this season averaging roughly 10min less? You can't be serious? You think he'll average more assists coming off the bench than most starters in the NBA? I highly doubt that to say the least, that and i hope he feels compelled to shoot a little more coming off the bench. I think 6apg in 25min seems like a reasonable assumption.

If Calderon can average 8ppg/6-6.5apg coming off the bench we'll have one of the best 1-2 punch at the PG position in the NBA.

I do think caldy can work wonders off the bench, especially with val and ross on the bench. I stick to my thinking that he'll get 8 assists a game, with prob 7-8 points a game. Calderon is a lot better than you give him credit for and will wreak havoc against bench fodder

I think Calderon is a good PG, not a fan of his style of play for the most part but he was once one of my fav players on this team. IMO he's the perfect PG to have off the bench because he'll get guys like the ones you mentioned involved. No doubt about it, and ultimately if he accepts that role it could mean great things for this team. That being said i still don't see him averaging 8apg (more than most starters in the league) in less minutes. We'll see. Like i said, he has never played under 30mpg and averaged even 6apg.
