Default Jose Calderon appreciation thread

Funny, i used to be a big fan of his. But at this point he, the fans and the organization needed the change. All that being said, Jose is a good man and i wish him luck in Charlotte.

I'm probably more saddened by Jose leaving than Chris Bosh, which is probably because I knew Bosh was leaving half way through last year. With that being said, Jose is kind of like AP, great great guy, very loyal, but he's just gotta go.

Good luck with the Babcats!!! You will be missed!

The drink giving to the team mates was always a welcome, awsome & honest move by Calderon to his team mates!

Jose is a really a team player, I just wish it was on the defensive and as well!

I'm still a fan
Last season he was put in a situation he didn't deserve. Good character, did not fight against sharing the time with Jack and Hedo.

Without him our offense will often be painful to watch.

Heres to him finding good home with Jordan Bobcats.

He wasn't going to fit in with what this team wanted to do, not at all, trading him was a necessity. I'm confident though that in Charlotte he'll perform at a level where we'll wish we hadn't traded him.

I will miss Jose. Awesome dude, loyal but like AP, he will excel on another team. I can really see Jose do well on the bobcats. They're one of the best defensive teams which will cover up Jose nicely.

I love Jose, I really thought he could average 15 and 10 but he got injured. Good luck in Charlotte!

Great guy and team player.
I will certainly miss the guy and I hope he gets back to the level of ball he played for us a few years ago.
He should be the most liked player in the history of the raps ... even more than MoPete

Bobcats shot 28% from 3 point range during the playoff series against Orlando. They desparately need someone who can drop a bomb or two. Now they have Jose. All Brown has to do, is convince him to actually shoot the ball.

Is it official?

Anyways... I've been very vocal throughout the years in my contention that Jose is not the type of pg this team needs and his defense concerns me greatly so with that I am happy from a baskteball standpoint that he be moved, especially if it nets us some expiring contracts and defensive players.

As for a team-first guy that endeared himself to the city and organization he will be missed. I like his devotion and team-first attitude and wish him well in Charlotte.

This is one guy who will definitely get a standing ovation when he returns... he's also a guy who we all want to do well and succeed. Unlike Bosh, who can rot and die in Miami for all i care.

Jose will always be a fan favorite... i am 100% positive he will thrive in Charlotte and do big things, and that makes me happy. he needed a change of scenery just as much as we needed to get rid of him, so this move will benefit everyone involved.
All the best Jose... i miss you already.

crap, i just remembered that i have a Jose Calderon Raps jersey hanging in my closet. Damn.

I hope he gets a standing ovation. Great guy, high character and puts the team first. He gave us something great in return and I wish for the best for him in Charlotte.

I think that Jose played really hard and never recovered from those off season injuries. I'll miss him and his passion for the city.

but you're welcome to have my Vince Carter jersey... which comes fully loaded with BBQ sauce stains, charcoal stains, grease, ketchup and mustard, and grass stains built right in.
i use it as my bbq apron/cleaning outfit... the entire back is cut out and it goes right over your head like an apron. its actually quite awesome.
