he knew about past Raps

I think he's from Niagara (correct me if Im wrong)
and he went to 'cuse, so he's familiar with this area

MangoKidHoops 06-10-2009 10:58 AM

Well, he did grow up in Niagara Falls, NY, so he's somewhat-notsomuch a local lad.

Formless 06-10-2009 10:59 AM

I'd love to have him here with that attitude.

Renihan_00 06-10-2009 10:59 AM

Wow, love his attitude all over.

Renihan_00 06-10-2009 10:59 AM

He already seems media polished haha

XiaominWu 06-10-2009 11:01 AM

I don't know much about his game.... but based on that 4 minutes, I really like the dude.

I was about to say the same thing Reni ... he carries himself well and seems pretty mature for someone so young. :)

That's because he's an in-the-closet Canadian

Flynn's leaping ability was on display on a January 11, 2009 game against Rutgers. With Syracuse clinging to a 52-48 lead, Flynn drove to the hoop and threw down a monstrous dunk over 6-foot-3 Rutgers guard Michael Rosario as Rosario attempted to draw a charge.

In the quarterfinals of the 2009 Big East Tournament on March 12 and 13th, Flynn led the Orange to a 127-117 win in six overtimes over the favored University of Connecticut Huskies. Flynn played 67 minutes on the floor that evening, leading the Orange by scoring 34 points, adding 11 assists and making all 16 of his free throw attempts. Flynn then played all 45 minutes of Syracuse's 74-69 overtime victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Big East semifinals. He scored 15 points and had 9 assists. For his efforts, Flynn was named the 2009 Big East Tournament's MVP.

+1

sundowners and sensations ;)

Renihan_00 06-10-2009 11:52 AM

HAHAHA the sundowner!

I couldn't believe what was going on when I was in there man.

I was in Niagara for a work function so me and some buddies snuck off there on like a tuesday night. I look across the stage and I knew EVERYONE on the other side because that's everyone ended up.

Good times had by all.......... There be some shady dealings in that place though.

i played against him in various can-am tournaments and with him at a couple PAL summer leagues... hes a real nice guy, not just acting for the media... hes probably the best ive ever played with, uncanny slashing ability. i would absoultely love to get him in TO, but it would mean getting another lottery pick

Uh I would love to get him but I would seriously rather get a SG instead. A position we actually need to fill.......

the T-wolves have been busy shopping Jonny Flynn and Michael Beasley, trying to get a center in return. They turned down a chance get to get the Clippers' Chris Kaman.
Raptors take a pass on landing Knicks' Mike D'Antoni, opt for defensive-minded Dwane Casey

Point guard Jonny Flynn has been recently linked to the Toronto Raptors following Ricky Rubio's announcement of signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. There is mutual interest from both the Raptors and Flynn. Toronto was interested in the 6-foot guard during the 2009 draft before ending up with USC freshman DeMar DeRozan.

"Toronto is right over the Border from where I’m from, I’m basically a Canadian," said Flynn, during a post-workout interview prior to the 2009 NBA draft. "It’ll be nice to come here, my family and friends can see me play here, I followed the raps when Stoudemire and Camby was here but I’m a knicks fan."
