![]() I wouldn't want lucas to be my point guard, and he can't be a shooting guard either. But he could be a fantastic weapon for us this season, coming off the bench when we need some points. He's unconscious and he can give you 10 points in just a few minutes if he gets hot ..
he reminds me a little of jason terry - he kind of had the same role for Dallas over the last few years. He's not much of a defender or point guard, but he's the same crazy quick scorer. I wonder if lucas can be a player like that for us? He doesn't have the same mid range game that terry has, but he has better range and he appears to be our best 3pt shooter off the dribble ( I think he's better than lowry at it). |

![]() He has more range than Terry? What? Terry has been one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA over the last 5-6 years.
I think his closest comparison offensively is Nate Robinson. Both play pick and roll to shoot a jumpshot once they come off the pick, whether it be a 3, midrange, or floater. Lucas is more efficient from the field, but Nate gets to the line more since hes more of an attacking player. |

![]() i think the JT comparison is a good one, closer to him than barea, nate or beaubois imo. Certainly beaubois, who is a crazy athlete.

![]() I meant in terms of distance, sometimes he shoots well behind the 3pt line, he's a little like arenas was in that respect. Also, he's shooting a lot off the dribble from beyond the 3pt line (like arenas), while terry is more of a spot up 3pt shooter, when he dribbles, he usually goes inside the arc to shoot.

![]() Not sure I see the barea/Robinson comparisons, those 2 are more of a drive to the basket guys, while Lucas just appears to be a shooter. Didn't see much of him last season though, I could be wrong.
