Joey: "I'm the most versatile player, I think, in the league."

If versatile as in absolute shit, then yes .... yes you are. :cwm34:

I really hope he was being sarcastic.

Must be one of those joke sites.

alseaf 03-04-2008 02:01 PM

what he means by 'playing the one and five' is that his ass is pretty good at warming the seat for the starting centre and point guard while his versatility allows him to sip 4 flavours of Gatorade and simultaneously chew two types of gum.

Raptorman 03-04-2008 02:03 PM

Now we have Good Joey, Bad Joey and Disillusioned Joey.

fancylad 03-04-2008 02:05 PM

i read earlier today, and i still can't come up with a comment.

lang 03-04-2008 02:07 PM

I still have faith in you, Joey. But that's why you're not getting paid to think.

Acie 03-04-2008 02:11 PM

He's the most versatile player in that he can wear any type/colour of warmups, can sit on any spot on the bench and can stand wherever in the huddle during timeouts while the coaching staff talks to the players who actually play.

I think the commercial they still play on Raps TV from last year with Jose in MSG screaming "Joey" repeatedly until he finally gets his attention and says [jose] I'm going to pass jew de ball[/jose] is extremely telling.

Benzo 03-04-2008 02:15 PM

I think they should start Joey over Moon....yes I'm serious.

alseaf 03-04-2008 02:18 PM

Sam should have Garbo start at PF in his crutches. We'd get more rebounds.

I still think Joey deserves another substantial chance. maybe not as a starter, but i would like to see him get some consistent minutes.

True, he has been inconsistent, but he's done a lot of good for this team and has stepped it up in the past for me to think that he shouldn't just be thrown to the dogs.

I partly agree with you, Benzo.

Superjudge 03-04-2008 02:25 PM

Joey is pretty versatile, in fact he is a prototype for a perfect player, physically.

He's like Lebron, only, without Lebron's game.

Joey Graham with a healthy attitude adjustment and a 180 degree turn around on agressive play would be the very guy we are searching for. I wonder if anyone has bothered to tell him that.

I wrote him off two years ago.

Ball Don't Lie 03-04-2008 02:25 PM

Joey can start at pg, just look at the last paragraph:

Quote:

The Raptors practised at Champions Sports Complex in Orlando on Tuesday, a gigantic facility equipped with basketball and volleyball courts, batting cages and arcade-type games. After practice, the Raptors gathered around a game that measures the velocity of a thrown punch. Graham set the new high score.
Start him at point, have him punch the opposing PG in the face, then bring Jose or TJ in to mop up vs 2nd unit guy.

Belsius 03-04-2008 02:26 PM

I have to admit he would probably be the last guy I would like to fight on this team.

Yup, I always hoped he'd be an Artest-like player, but he's got nothing going on upstairs and is all talk.

fancylad 03-04-2008 02:27 PM

nice strategy, thriller.

lol.

wasn't everybody excited about him coming into this season? I remember it was reported that he dunked on Bosh during practice and the sky was the limit for him. lol. The Toronto media is too gulable.

Ball Don't Lie 03-04-2008 02:32 PM

The sky is the limit for Joey. He has a pilot license afterall.

I'm with you fancy. When he's good Joey, he can be a force. The problem with Graham though, like Humphries, their offensive game is very limited, but they always seem to over-step their limitations/game and try to do too much. If he sticks what works and his bread and butter, he could be a solid player.

I swear it is one of those fake children licenses they give out with the cartoon pictures on it, and it probably restricts him to only flying kites... on 0 mph wind days.

Raptorman 03-04-2008 04:02 PM

Boy..this town gets pretty rough after a two game loosing streak.

MangoKidHoops 03-04-2008 04:44 PM

Even if we were on an 8-game winning streak, we'd be saying the same thing. He was blessed being a physical specimen but he doesn't have the manual (smarts) to make them work properly, co-hesively or consistently.

omg we agree on something crazy haha, moon is too overrated im sick of looking at him unless he wants to say "stop what your doing, cuz im about to ruin, the image and the style that you used to". He is horrible on offense but thinks he is good, his defense is very overrated, he does block a couple shits, but gets burned on pump fakes like its his job. Yes i would give Joey another chance, i think he can be a decent player.

Dr. J. Naismith 03-04-2008 10:48 PM

I will cut off my testicles and glue them to my chin if Graham becomes a starter on this team from here on out. A huge waste of potential that has ruined every opportunity he's received here in Toronto. And Sam has given him alot of chances to prove himself. :grrr:

Graham playing period shouldn't even be discussed. Waste of time. :cwm34:

It's almost like he was this close to saying "Joey! Jew 'tard! JOEY! Hey! Dipshit!"

BballWatcher 03-05-2008 11:21 AM

You want a tuna sandwich... Joey will make you a tuna sandwich.

The guy is VERSATILE I tell you!
