Default Is Joey G. that part?

The kid seems to be improving and he has that killer instinct in getting to the hoop, I wonder if smbitch will ever try this line-up to add some energy and a athletic wing (that actually drives to the rim)

Oneal (when he returns)
Bosh
Joey
Anthony
Jose

Who knows maybe we can stop running the pick and roll as our main set play and go to a sort of bosh-joey backdoor lob like the suns ran w/ diaw-marion back in 2006.

Thoughts?

Joey has been playing awesome in the last 2 games. But since Moon proved he can play to I don't see Joey getting into the starting line-up

I'd keep playing him but let him prove some consistency before we start him. He's been great the past two games, but we've all seen this before from Graham. He looked very good in summer league but then he couldnt assert himself and win a starting spot in training camp. If he can keep this up i'll be extatic. He's a beast and it would be awesome if he could finally figure out how he needs to play, consistently, to start.

Let him earn it through time and effort.

Yes, Joey is that part... if that part means part of a trade

He's doing a good job increasing his trade value.

I'd like to see him continue on this ride he's on. He actually looks like he's got a bit of a motor for the first time. Keep that motor running. And if he can do it coming off the bench - then all the better.

Dwight shoots airballs from 3 feet out every game. I hear he's gonna be MVP.

Joey will be a nice part, and even if you wanted you cant get much for him anytime soon, so hope he continues to contribute.

i say let joey prove himself. Tonight it looked like both joey and moon were competing against each other ... moon and his fadeaways ... It makes the team better =)

Give him play time, don't touch starting lineup
The airballs he shot were caused because Joey himself thought he is becoming "the missing part"
His jumpshot is ugly anyway

I'd love to see a second unit of:
Bosh/O'Neal or Bargs
Hump
Joey
Moon
Roko
Forget the half court offence. Just let them RUN. Picture Joey and Jamario running the wings and finishing the break. It would also utilize Roko's passing skills as well. It's probably too much to ask Joey to keep playing this well in the half court.

if moon wanted to compete with joey he wouldnt be taking fadeaways
he would taking it strong to the basket just like every single person in the Raptors staff would like him to.

I think, as i have said several times this season, our wing play has drifted this season as NO ONE player has wanted to have the job. The past few games, with Andrea Bargnani showing he is an option to some extent at the 3 spot <i use the term loosely as it is more like a 4a spot> Jamario, Jason, and Joey have seen their future on this team as in jeopardy and have finally responded with a desire to show Smitch that they still want to play in this league. The 3 J's are playing with the desperation they have lacked all season. That has to be a good thing for this team as our bench depth can't help but increase as JO returns and Smitch will have some pleasant decisions to make for the first time this season.. now if Will can keep up his no turnover no stupid foul defense and Roko can keep developing his confidence, this team is not in as rough shape as perhaps we all thought last week. much more

I say let Moon keep starting (shudder) but give Joey G more and more minutes. If he starts to suck, keep playing him. This team is going to have to gamble on some internal development, because Bargs isn't (and shouldn't) going to be traded.

Joey is a solid 7th/8th man when he has his head on right. He is in no way a starter unless he all of a sudden becomes a rebounding and defending demon which is never going to happen.

Raps fans= mass overreaction. I bet we can find this same thread last year afte rhe had a good game, then the very next game he stunk and the HE SHOULD BE OUT OF THE LEAGUE thread pops up.
