Default JO - 6th Man

It seems like Bargs-Bosh duo is working well.
Do you think O'Neal should be the first choice back up at PF and C?

i dunno... I'd rather not. Oneal is still our best rebounder and shot blocker. Our best interior defender as well, with Bargnani being second IMO. That and Oneal still is a very good offensive player. Why don't we bring Bosh off the bench? (Joking obviously - duh).

I just hope we never ever see Bargnani in anything other than in a true big man role. no more 3. ever. please.

This reeks of T.J. all over again. I don't see it sitting well with Jermaine if he loses his starting spot do to injury. I don't want to treat Bargnani so delicately, but I most certainly don't want to screw with his confidence right now too. We're in a tough bind once JO's back though.

All the more reason why I think JO will likely being shopped around by BC right now.

Bargs has yet to proof that he can play like this consistently, JO has been our most consistent player. Its a terrible idea.

If JO can net us a great slasher type SG/SF then its a risk I'm willing to take Bel.

I would like him to see JO play PF, his natural position, more often.

This way he gets 10 mins at PF and 15 mins at C. Still playing 25 minutes a game. He has to check himself and realize that he's not the spring chicken he once was.

Just trade JO for a starting 2 guard and a backup Center, problem solved

The problem with trading JO is you have to match salaries and the Raps most likely have to get $20 mil. Since JO is not a $20 mil talent it will be hard to get a starting SG.

How bout the Raps keep JO until his contract runs out because we never know if the salary cap will rise in 2 years. Players we have under contract will have growing salaries every year while the cap atays the same.

Agree with Belsius!

I thought the purpose of trading for JO was to help with our interior defence and rebounding. JO was averaging close to 25+ points his last two games before getting injured. Why make him come off the bench?

The last two victories didn't come because JO and Jose didn't play it was because the rest of the team played. Making JO come off the bench is a bad idea. If you are thinking like that then make Jose come off the bench too. If our best reboundershould come off the bench then why not our assist leader too!

JO was brought in to help teach Bargs how to play Defense and be tough as well as setting up for cap space in the future for trades.

Anyone can see that JO was traded far more for finacial reasons than team needs

Bargs has played better than Ukic throughout the season.

And yes if Ukic was averaging a double double for 5 consecutive games and the team is winning I would stick with the hot hand and make Caldy the back up, but when/if Ukic cools down then Caldy returns to the starting role.

maybe but he make a lot more of stupid shot than Bargnani and and when he make his stupid shot like the turnaround and missed he influence Bosh to do the samething and Bosh missed too I haven't seen Bosh doing a turnaround vs the magic so JO should be the 6th man and play for his team before his stats

One remark. It could be olympic experience, could be that Howard was already tired, but few posessions in 4th Bosh was guarding him, and doing it better and smarter than Bargs. Plus he had officials on his side. No idea why officials hate Bargs so much

Two games ago (not counting injury game) he scored 36 points on 15 of 19 shooting, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 2 assists. It's obvious that he has to be involved in our system MORE.

He also needs GOOD trainers and doctors to diagnose his injuries, get in a pool or something, and make sure to not keep getting injured.

Because he has no idea how to guard a guy like Howard down low.

Start realizing what Pacer fans been telling me for the entire year, JO AKA The BlackHole should come off the bench as a PF with Jake as backup C.
