I have never been more confidant when someone is taking a shot...ever in the history of the raps....yes that includes Dell and Tracey Murray.

Agreed 100%, I have loved this guy since Sunday's game, he's a great part to this team and has really helped us alot, especially tonight as well.

Yeah, Dell Curry was awesome, but Kapono seems more versatile, and just as deadly - if not more .

he's a fucking steal, that's what he is. At 6 million per year, he gives you more points than Bosh when it counts. I would be happy to just play him in the playoffs ...

Dell Curry was Jesus, Kapono is God. He is the big shot maker.

I was just commenting today that Kapono's got great form on his shot but with a quick release - this guy could kill anyone if he's open and gets the ball in rhythm

Even in their primes, Kapono has a better 3P%
Code:
Season Age Tm Lg G GS MP FG FGA FG% 3P 3PA 3P%

1991-92 27 CHH NBA 77 0 2020 504 1038 .486 74 183 .404

BTW the 91-92 is Dell and the 07/08 is Pono

Maybe because Toronto fans didn't see him until the end of his career they underrate Dell.

I'm going to go out on limb and say Dell's release was quicker.

He also wasn't just a catch and shoot guy. He do a little jab step and get his man back and then had a deadly step back move he made when shooting the three.

IMO he was a better defender, a better ballhandler and although he wasn't jumping out of the gym, he was definitely more athletic.

Actually that was once thing I noticed Kapono doing last night when he got the ball. He did a nice pump fake, quick dribble to the side, shot/made the 3.

Oh and BTW, referring to my last post with Dell and Pono's stats, you can say one thing for sure, Curry should shot a hell lot more that Pono did.

This is true. And he delivered for us, too. I liked Dell, he was clutch, with a smokin release. Kapono reminds me of his role - a spark off the bench. We definitely have to keep Kapono, I think he has at least 2 very good years left in him.

I think you are wrong - kapono is just 26, and he's not very ahtletic, so he's going to have a lot more than 2 years left. At the end of his contract here, he will be just 30 and the added experience and improved defence will make him an even more valuable player - probably earning him an even bigger salary than the MLE he got last summer.

I think Kapono has had the second most layups on our team this playoff series, he is getting to the rim more than alot of people that should be on our team.

I hope so - 4 good years with Toronto, that's even better.

Kapono has been mired in a shooters slump for 3 months, he has awoken, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Fuck me when this kid is on, he is ON

Plus Kapono is a fucking genius when it comes to picking his spots, setting his man up. He can score in a lot of different ways, which i think makes him a lot different than dell. he's a creative shot maker and i dont think we got the chance to see what he;s capable of due to his shoddy minutes and slump.
i love it when he does that duck in flip shot over the opposing team's big, and seeing him run back on D shaking his head like, "you fuckers can't stop me."

Honestly..this is what we got him for..the playoffs, so in a weird way it doesn't matter what he did or didn't do all season long...because clearly he can turn it on when he needs to.
