The reason why this year was important is young guys got to play regularly and see for themselves where their weaknesses were. You can practice well and then sit on the bench and talk a good game about what you think your skill level is (like Joey Graham or Julian Wright). But this off season, they can address some of those weaknesses themselves, like Demar did. Bayless has a chance to come back improved.

This could mean some slow movement in terms of trades until way into next season just to see who has improved.

I'm just happy he gets to play. Coach Nate gave Jerryd more DNP's over here then he did games played.

Why is that you may ask?

Because his first year, Rudy was depressed if he wasn't playing with his best friend Sergio. Then in his 2nd season here, KP hired Andre Miller, and we still had Steve Blake, and an even more depressed Rudy because the Blazers waived his best friend Sergio.

Halfway though the o-10 season, Brandon's knees gave out, and Bayless quickly took the starting 2 guard spot away from the depressed Rudy Fernandez. He did good for us, especially in the playoffs. I think his attacking style helps him in pressure situations, as he is a great athelete and a tremendous competitor. Being serious here, in our playoff series last year against the Suns, we had one dude that looked like a proffesional basketball player. That of course was Jerryd.

I hope we give Bayless a lot of rope as the starting PG. We're rebuilding so we can afford to do that.

It's arguments like this that make me smile, but also cry on the inside. How do you compare a court leader like chauncy, to a guy like Bayliss who, god bless his tenacious soul, resembles a chicken with it's head chopped off for the most part of every game.

You don't teach what guys like Billups had. And Bayliss aint got it.

chauncey didn't have it either until he spent several years in the league and learned from savvy vets.

Bayless is a solider who never gives up, how can you compare that to a chicken with its head chopped off? He has more heart than most past players that were ever on this team. It goes to show you know nothing about Bayless because you can't even spell his name. If you're talking about things you can't teach, you can't teach heart.

Chauncy didn't become who he was till his 5th team in 7years and thats with Detroit. Kinda helped to have the team mates that he did. Comparatively, Billups in year 4 averaged 8.6/3 and Bayless averaged 10/4. Does this mean Bayless will develop the court vision that Billups developed over the years is hard to tell - though he is only 23.

you guys may be right. I like Bayliss... and maybe the chicken I see is just a young and hyper player who can chill out eventually. he just doesn't' seem to me, at this point to play the game with his head.

if were all about waiting for 5 years to be good, then sure... let him have the reigns.
