Default The Jermaine O'Neal Appreciation Thread

The dude is a warrior.

The sequence yesterday where he scored on a nifty little move in the post, ran back on D and blocked a shot and fell down, got up ran back down the court and drew a foul was absolutely beautiful...all with a bad shoulder.

That's exactly the kind of stuff this team needs.

great thread acie.

Jermaine has certainly been our warrior even amidst the horrid stretch of games. As i said in my acceptance thread earlier, i kind of feel sorry for Oneal in a way - because i really can't fault him much for the team's terrible results. Mind you, then when you see his contract numbers, you can't feel all that bad for the guy.

In any case, i do hope he continues to show the same grit and determination. It will wear off on the other guys and maybe.... just maybe... we can make something out of this season (damn you "win against the clippers"! you're making me delusional).

I still to this day believe if JO hadn't gone down against the Nets (knee injury) that long time ago, this team would be much much improved in the standings. That was the first real crack in the mental buildup of our team. Hopfully this LA win heals that.

Yeppers. For all that is wrong lately with the Raps, JO came out last night on a mission.

Here's hoping he can keep it up and others follow his lead.

I think its safe to say that he's probably been the only consistent figure with this team so far this season. Everything I expected and a little bit more. Now we just need his peers to set up to the plate and carry their fair share of weight now too.

Too bad the pacers are doing better than us right now...
EDIT: Lol, my bad, we're actually 1 game ahead of them due to the win.

i'll buy ticket to ride this train!
JO seems to be the only rap this year who has shown some serious grit.

I love how JO plays and carries him self. It honestly feels like he's been a Raptor for a long time; I can't visualize Raps without JO anymore.

He may be a warrior, but he's no WARRIOR.

whatever.

We like to bash Bosh, but he is by far the only one consistantly bringing it.

my favorite player this season. Plays hard every game, even when his offense is not clicking, never says bad things about his teammates on the court, and doesn't act like the star he is. Always says the right thing too.

And if his offensive game isn't working atleast his defensive is there.

You can expect the defence aspect of his game there every night. So any Offence out of him is just a bonus.
