Default Jermaine O Neal's Competitiveness Knows No Bounds

From his raptors.com interview with Mike Ulmer...

Quote:
M.U.: Is it true you tried to buy all your daughter Asjia’s girl guide cookies so she could have the highest sales in her Brownie troupe.

J.O.: Yeah, yeah. I’m so competitive. Last year, I bought 70 boxes. I still have them in the pantry. We wanted to teach her the value of competing, but I’m so competitive, it ran into my daughter’s life. I had to stand back and she sold them at grocery stores. She finished second this year but it was a good second. She learned something and she taught Dad a lot too.

Being that serious about getting the W...good.

Giving a ridiculously unfair advantage to the girl who's father makes $20 million a year...maybe not so good

Why the hell not? I'd do it once, just for fun.

Please note that next year he "cut her off".

Wasn't there an episode of Friends about this? Is it a good thing if he has a life that mirrors Friends episodes?

If you ask me, his comment about his daughter teaching him was what stood out.

Yeah - he is looking like a great guy - a character guy - and he'll get in people's faces if he needs to. Perfect.

Now, that Friends' episode had an ingenious solution. Ross ended up selling a whole lot of cookies as munchies on campus.

As any good art should be.

Frida Kahlo had the unibrow. Jose has the unibrow. It's a perfect fit as far as I can see.

Hehe. I giggled after reading the first post.

I like that in a guy. competitive, at any costs, skillful, determined, and above all has class.

All the more reason to be anxious for October.
