I could use DVS on this one and he might be the only person to back me up on it.

Lamb is overrated. Period. He looked lost in Connecticut (so did that entire team).

We're talking about his defense? I saw him blown by on a lot of possessions and seemed to take some plays off. There was hype around him coming in and a lot of it was unfounded imo.

So yeah, I'm the vote that said pass.

Lamb is a prospect, and a very good one. He can grow a ton

Ok so for now it seems that Lamb is the only player that most of us would like to (or at least wouldn't mind) to draft at #8, that probably means we are not getting Lamb..

he was definitely a disappointment this past season. what he showed during their national championship run was quite excellent though. i don't see him being the man, but a good piece, so in that sense i like him at the 8th. mind you, there's a lot of other players i'd also be okay with there.

See, that's the thing, he looked good in a tourney where he fed off what Kemba did.

This year, he was expected to play an even bigger role and in theory should've had an easier time with Andre and Napier. Only Napier ever seemed to care about winning on some days.

I'd much rather have Harrison Barnes at 8 (who should be available) than Lamb because at least Barnes has been consistent (can't take over a game, but won't hurt you).

How the heck you guys land the crummy 8th pick? Was there really 7 teams worse then you guys this year. Really? Man, the NBA must've really stunk this year.

Whenever I see Uconn players get compliments I sit and wonder what Big East games they watched this past year. He had one good game in the NCAA tourney and this kid gets recognition big deal. He also looks small so it will take him a few years to develop I believe. Personally I'd be so upset if the Raps draft this kid. The past couple years Uconn hasn't been the NBA factory it was and this kid is all hype imho.

I'd rather draft Lamb than see BC overpay for DD's extension and see DD earn 8-10 million/year for 3-5 years after next season.

I really hope a top 10 pick in a deep draft is able to start on a team seriously lacking talent.

a player that underachieved all year with a disorganized underachieving squad. Not to mention a player that really doesn't look filled out quite yet.

Also, even if you highly rate this player take a look at past 8th overall picks which is basically nothing but a long shot.

I'd be giddy if we could get Lamb. I think he will be a solid pro with a long career - Rip Hamilton esque.

Fair enough. However, I think we can all safely concur that UCONN constantly produces solid nba players.

my only criteria is that it be a wingman that can defend well and that can shoot from distance or has a good shot that can be extended to nba 3 distance

Also a good description for DeRozan.

I think a lot will depend on workouts as far as Lamb is concerned. It's a little tough to extrapolate from what he did with a dysfunctional Husky's team alone.
