Jennings, interest ?

The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly would be open to listening to offers for guard Brandon Jennings.
Cleveland Plain Dealer

i know jennings is not the best PG, and he trie too much to score, but he and DD are best friend, they know each other form childhood, and so they can reaally play together and be a real solid backcourt.

Don Vito 05-22-2011 09:05 AM

So we get Jennings because he is best friends with DeRozan, not because it'll help the team? :cookie:

Anyone think Milwaukee will take Bargnani? They have Bogut at center, thus letting Andrea play his preferred PF position.

Alex 05-22-2011 09:27 AM

Not interested...

Calderon for Salmons, Jennings and pick
makes sense

Yeah right. :cwm34:

I would trade the pick for him. He still has outstanding court vision. H just had a bad year.

fk24 05-22-2011 09:57 AM

Something like Bayless + #5 for Jennings + filler would be nice.

Northern Neighbour 05-22-2011 11:16 AM

I would rather stick with Bayless and #5 than to acquire Jennings. I don't see Jennings upgrading the Raptors very much, if any at all. He's a shoot-first PG who plays little defence, which I guess makes him a great fit in Toronto.

SoGood 05-22-2011 11:17 AM

I wouldn't mind Jennings...but I wouldn't give up Bayless nor the #5 pick for him...

Bayless made great strides with the Raps last year and finally finding his groove to a certain extent and now to move him to another team would ruin the progress the Raptors have made with him...

Snooch 05-22-2011 11:46 AM

I would do Jose and Bargs for Jennings, Maggette and the 10th pick. That is all.

Would save team about 6 million in payroll to add to netting a starting center(be pushing max contract in terms of capspace after deal.) And would push hard to get Minny's pick from them.

Jenning/Bayless
Demar/Barbosa
Williams(dream)JJ/Magz
Amir/Davis
FA/Alabi?

Acquiring Jennings and nabbing Biyombo at #10 would really solidify two areas of weakness and expedite the rebuild.

I like the way you think :)

GrannyFro 05-22-2011 01:45 PM

jennings is intriguing because he's the exact opposite of jose defensively. he's weak as shit but moves his feet and stays with his man real well. Defence is pretty much the only way to get minutes playing for a nazi like skiles.

this being said i wouldn't give up a shit load, he is a bit of a chucker though i'm willing to chalk up the bad shooting being due to limited calls cause he pissed off stern by scoring 55 as a rookie that skipped college.... or stern just hates the bucks/wants them moved ect

Admiral 05-22-2011 02:05 PM

jennings plays a bayless style game but doesn't seem like a big enough upgrade to bayless for me

yeah but bayless is losing his hair and not nearly as mobile as jennings, jennings has elite quickness. you'd just have to hope he learns to shoot consistantly and stays healthy then i don't think there is any competition between the two. Maybe i underestimate bayless though (thinning hair) , we'll see how he does next season

Jennings has such a terrible shot....career .379fg% and .352 3p%....yuck!! I would keep Bayless over Jennings TBH

over 35% from three isn't bad at all, he's either getting no calls or is the worst midrange shooter/finisher of all time

Oh how I wish this was true, and imagine if it did happen. I can imagine BC trading the 5th and 10th pick for Cleveland's 1st so he can nab derrick williams. I dont Im sure cleveland would love to have the 4th, 5th and 10th pick after
