If you're bringing him in as an offensive assistant, you can't get much better. We ran out a group that centred around Chris Bosh as the only real threat and ran out one of the top offences under Triano. Of course, also a historically bad defence - mostly due to a lack of motivational skills I would suggest.

He's not head coach material, at least under our franchise, but he is a great team guy, has expansive basketball knowledge, and is a very good assistant coach - especially in the X's and O's department. Was very good for player development as well before taking the promotion to the head gig - a lot of players really liked him (and made good strides) when he was an assistant, and he cited that as a difficulty he faced transitioning to head coach, where he had to lay down the law sometimes.

As an assistant he won't have any post game interviews. Besides, unless he was swearing he was a bore.

he's a great offensive assistant
as a head coach, he lacks motivational skills, but he's very competent technically and he's endorsed by guys like nash and carlisle, which is a pretty nice group of supporters.
