Before you guys anoint Jawai the next great Raptor big, please keep in mind he's only been playing organized basketball for five or six years. He's got along way to go.

I really can't wait for this guy. I hope he reaches 7 feet by the time mid-season comes. When you're just 21 and you're already at 280 lbs, thats pretty big. And I mean big in the sense of good.

Cinderella doesn't get picked in the top10 of the draft.

Apparently he was left off the Australian National squad because they are expecting that he will be too busy playing in North America to be with the team much.

Please do not expect too much from the Big Fella, everyone here already raves on about him...but we did the same with Andrew Gaze and Chris Anstey!! and they were bearly fringe players in NBA. Although he dominated most games in NBL (Only 1 season) he still had some quiet games, and was the Go To man (As you would expect). Our national League rarely imports Big MEN as we have our own Bodies to fill the paint (Although most do just that - fill a space) so Nathan did not have much Competition over here...interested to hear what others made of his brief college stint.

Welcome Aussie.

You'll have to forgive us for being a tad overzealous, but Raptors fans have been pining for a big beast in the paint for quite some time now.

Unfortunately, American juco games aren't televised in Canada, so I'm pretty sure most
here never had the opportunity to see him play.

I'm not one for guaging a guy from you tube video of his dunks over useless opponents. I do love what I'm hearing from the kid, and if he's in as good a shape as Smith says he is, he can only be a positive.

I think we should all STFU about him now and let him alone to develope. As a few guys above are saying, lets not put the pressure on him that he doesn't need. He's young and raw, if anything, he's there to beat up Bargnani in practice.

Welcome JAWS. I like ya already, and I don't care if you don't ever play or score, you seem like a good dude.

It would be real nice if we could get some Paul Millsap style production from this guy a couple years down the road.

If he's physical down low, and he works hard and understands the game, he'll probably find a small rotation spot this year. He could move up above Hump too if his defense is up to par.
