All I know is I watched him almost kill a guy on a very hard, very legal pick the other night, that alone is enough to want to give the guy more time. Watching Bargnani and Bosh whimper and try to "act" thier way through the pick and roll is embarrassing.

Who cares?

Jawai is a overweight stiff with cardiac abnormality and at this point Pape Sow looks like an All-Star and Haffa an MVP compared to him.

Ivan, the guy has played maybe 15 minutes all season. And you have the guts to come on here and argue that he is a "stiff", because a couple people mention some good things he's done out on the court.

You're going to win that argument Ivan, but I don't think anyone really gives a shit. He is a "stiff" at the moment, by default because he hasn't played. I think that's pretty clear. No one really needs to be told that. If you don't see the nice plays he's made, which you obviously don't, that's fine. It's easy for you to dismiss him as a stiff since he doesn't see the court because that's the same assessment a 8 or 9 year old basketball fan would have of Jawai, "That guy sucks, he doesn't play". Stating the superficial, with no real insight, so without that insight, why even comment? Let alone comment three or four times.

But again, he is a stiff, so you win. Now piss off.

Well, for one, I do. I have a little experience playing this silly game, and one thing I can tell you, is I woulkd take a low talent kid that is willing to set a screen, or box out, or mke the fundamental tough play, over a guy a little better, with a bit more skill that refuses to do it.

Do me a favor, go look at the roster of every championship team for the last 20 years.

You'll find One NAthan Jawai on each team.

If you don't see that, you're not seeing it the way you need to.

You guys go about this guy like Jawai is future face of the NBA... tell you what... you take Jawai, Pape Sow and Haffa... all great guys, hard workers who set great picks and I'll take Kobe, Lebron and Wade... none is a great guy nor do any them even try to set any picks.

BTW... great idea SJ... lets get even more low talent guys for this team... God knows they don't enough of those.

We haven't seen nearly enough of Jawai to make fair judgements about his game. He does seem to have some solid fundamentals. As bjjs said in the first post here his 2pts against the Cavs demonstrated good technique.
SJ is right about needing a player to set solid screens out there. Bosh and Bargs don't/won't do it. Hopefully Jawai can become the active, athletic big man to fill that role.

Sure WE haven't seen enough of him but training staff did... if he can't get few minutes on this God awful team what does that tell you?

He might end up being decent backup in the NBA but so what? Like that is going to change anything... he is not a high school kid who needs to learn few things like T-Mac was when he got drafted... this guy is a project... at best.

Did I say the guy would become a fuckin' all-star?
I think I said hopefully he'd turn into a good garbage man, set some picks, grabs some boards.
The training staff saw dick-all of the guy. He was on the shelf for how long? Let's not dismiss his potential until we get a better look at the dude.

Jawai aka W.T.F?

he's not even for D-league, maybe for ABA 2000 garbage, and even then I'm sure his team franchise would fold and not finish the season.

It seems as if Jawai has joined Eddy Curry's S.F.A.T Club. Standing Fat and Talented. This guy is comparable to Sean May. He is like 290 pounds and if he doesn't get down to 260 his career will be over like Sean May.

And how do you get to that conclusion? Obviously he still has a lot to learn but from what I have heard and its not difficult to guess because of where he is from, the dude is a really hard worker.

Yes, because that's what constitutes a hard worker.

Last time I checked, VC was doing 360 windmills. Look how that turned out.
