its funny how everybody thinks toronto drafted hibbert, the deal for jermaine oneal was made before the draft, and the Raptors were selecting for indiania who took roy hibbert

if the Raptors never made that jermaine oneal trade it was rumoured Raptors really like jj hickson

wo we would have left hibbert on the board and would have taken another player

so when raptor fans get angry and wonder why we didn't take hibbert well we never had the chance to select him because we were trading our pick away for a thought to be allstar in jermaine oneal who a fews year previously was 3rd in mvp voting in the nba ( how about the other teams who passed on him)

raptors were trying to make a push up the ladder, this move was made because sam mitchell said we needed a true center, raptor fans and media were comparing it to the san antonio spurs situation

at the time we were playoff team, bc was trying to make us a top 3 team in the east,

It's easy to blame Colangelo a few years after the moves. However, many people supported him in some of his moves such as resigning Calderon, trading for JO and signing Turkoglu.

Turk- Move was praised at the time
Hibbert- As stated above, not our pick
The Calderon contract- deemed reasonable at the time
Kidd for Marbury- Stupid move
The Amir Contract- I have absolutely no problem with it (reported as a 35Mil contract but is actually 28Mil)
Jamario Moon- Why was this a mistake?
Jason Kapono- Overpayed but we needed 3pt shooting and he was the best in the game at the time
2 1/2 years of Triano- Biggest mistake he's made since coming here imo

Didn't like any of them at the times they were made, and less thrilled with the body of work.

Hibbert- As stated above, not our pick But if we hadn't traded for JO at all? We knew his injury history.
The Calderon contract- deemed reasonable at the time It wasn't good value for a player with that little NBA experience at that time.
Kidd for Marbury- Stupid move
The Amir Contract- I have absolutely no problem with it (reported as a 35Mil contract but is actually 28Mil) If it's only 28 it's less egregious, but why are you suggesting that he be amnestied?
Jamario Moon- Why was this a mistake? Giving him a starters job.
Jason Kapono- Overpayed but we needed 3pt shooting and he was the best in the game at the time We needed interior play more and Varajao was available.

Don't make assumptions, your better than that. I've been watching the Raptors since their third season and posting on a board is not a qualification for judging the moves of a team.

No, but posting utter bullshit is pretty much a qualification to being laughed at.

I hated the Hedo move at the time. A 30 -ish year old SF looking for $. You want a ball handling point forward to play with a pure pg who is making a lot of dough. Your projected starting lineup has maybe 1 starter who is average defensively (CB4) and 3 (Hedo, Jose, Bargs) who are below average defensively.

I would not put Bosh in the same category as those 3 though. No wings indeed.

Yes with the #28 pick.

Then the Bulls traded the #28 pick(Norris Cole) and their #43 pick(Malcolm Lee) to Minnesota for the #23 pick(Nikola Mirotić). Nikola Mirotić is a Spanish player who still plays in Spain right now.

So that is who the Bulls ended up with. Then Minnesota would trade Norris Cole AGAIN later on in the night to Miami.

Rumor has it Jimmer heard you were talking sh** about him lol...The boy dropped 30 yesterday in SL action...but the Kings still lost.

Sacramento signed Brooks anyway so there's no need for Jose now.
