james johnson interview

James Johnson - SPORTSNET 590 The FAN Toronto - Audio on Demand

great interview, says how he wants to win and this rebuilding thing about getting a top pick is bogus. He goes off lol great stuff

JDMtors 12-05-2011 06:26 PM

Its glad to know that he is very committed to this team at least. I like his attitude and work ethic. "stop giving ourselves excuses to make us feel better"

Barracuda 12-05-2011 08:05 PM

Go NinjaRaptor, go!

Ammo 12-05-2011 08:18 PM

So far Ed Davis and Alabi have been in. We know Bargani has been out here for a while.

Meh, great attitude. But when this ship is all rebuilt and ready, I just don't see him playing much of a role in the future. For now, it's ok.

Part of me wishes that JJ, Ed, Bayless, and Demar are all starters this year and develop as much as they can as a unit. The other part of me wishes that we get Battier and that JJ and Kleiza have to fight for minutes.

You gotta love JJ's work ethic. I hope this is a break-out year for him.

Bankiz 12-06-2011 06:44 AM

i'm like you, and would want to see a lineup starter like that :
Jbay
DD
JJ
Davis
Alabi

they can learn, and casey would have a young whom he can set right as he want to.
and the second unit like this :
caldy/barbosa/Battier/Amir/a cheap center like brown..

but i think we will endup with
caldy/DD/JJ/Amir/Bargs
and
Jbay/Barbo/FA(kleiza isn't ready)/Davis/alabi.

can i say that will suck !!!

we need to improve at the 5. this is a great need. and have a good PG who run the show, and really lead this team.

oh my god, casey has some work to do !!!

Shifty.py 12-06-2011 06:52 AM

So does BC

As Kenny Smith said, the main problem of our roster is lack of immediate talent. Coach can onldy do so much

Thats why the staring and bench rosters look so interchangeable, there is no real difference

I think JJ could be an awesome defensive SF to lead our 2nd unit when we draft some SF stud in the future!

hard to say at this point, he could even end up being as valuable as someone like afflalo or bogans.

I dunno about that... What's he ACTUALLY good at now?

He seems way below NBA quality to me. There's a reason the Bulls let him go .........

GrannyFro 12-06-2011 12:12 PM

if he doesn't learn to shoot soon he should just hang up the sneakers and fight. MMA is always looking for athletic heavyweights with long ass reach

oh mate, come on now, at the very least you have to say he has an amazing body which he uses to pretty good effect and he has all the right mental attributes for the game. His ACTUAL skill-set right now is limited i'll grant you. I dare say the bulls gave him coz they're a contender who doesn't need him, but we're not a contender! I think right now he is NBA quality in that he is useful for a lower team.

what is he actually good at right now? rebounding and a good passer for a 3. He gets above the rim. I kinda like his D. It's inconsistent, he kind of thrusts himself into it rather than really thinking about it. Dunno if i'm being fair saying that, it's my impression anyway.

he would have to improve a lot to be a legit starter for any team in the NBA but i believe he could become a bogans type, like i said.

Obi-Wan Quinnobi 12-07-2011 12:50 AM

After watching this video, i want him to be the starting player for 2012

JDMtors 12-07-2011 01:04 AM

Yup since hes been traded to the raptors, he's practically been starting for us but he has foul trouble so hell find himself on the bench

moremilk 12-07-2011 01:10 AM

let's just hope he doesn't turn out as the second coming of joey graham. He clearly has the tools to be a very good player, but there are huge holes in his game and he won't get much time to show serious improvement. If he doesn't make a dramatic jump this season, I don't think he'll stick for another season here.

Barracuda 12-07-2011 11:33 AM

Umm... interesting hair today, JJ.
