Did anyone else notice about how he kept talking about how "everyone had to buy in" over and over.

Seems pretty clear people weren't with Jay in the locker room

No shit! I was saying that when players were calling him out two seasons ago.

hard to say at this point, he could even end up being as valuable as someone like afflalo or bogans.
Bogans was a good collegiate player and realized what his role was and worked at it (good shooter, good defender). Afflalo benefited from being in Detroit and again had some ability.

JJ, to me just screams to be another guy and almost is a tweener (SF/PF). Nice guy, but I just think long term, you'll likely have a better back up and starter there. Just the way it goes.

I think that his toughness could be a key for this team going into this season.

He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who's going to back down from anyone... or be intimidated.

Bayless showed some signs last year in that regard but you need more than a few players to really buy into that attitude to make it work.

yeah, you could well be right. If JJ reaches the level i think he can, it would be hard to find a better 2nd unit SF tho. But then he might not improve to where i think he will! Basically it's up to him, his chance is now. If he can show improvement and show casey he can put into practice what is being talked about i believe he will be our back-up SF in the future.
