Question James Johnson- Did Not Play Against Philly. Why?

Quote:
Anderson got the start in place of James Johnson who was held out of the game by Dwane Casey for what both men are calling an “internal matter.”

Casey said the move was as much about getting a good look at Anderson as it was about sending a message to Johnson.

Johnson, who politely declined to shed any more light on the situation, said it was a case of him “paying his dues.”

Johnson said he was unsure whether his debt had been paid.

“Whatever he thinks I deserve,” Johnson said. “I just have to deal with it like a man.”

Quote:
James Johnson, who has made 38 starts this year, was benched for an undisclosed reason the club said it was handling internally. Johnson played fewer than 21 minutes in each of his previous three outings. He has averaged almost 27 minutes per game as a starter this year.

Without James Johnson, we had 0 blocks against the 76ers.

Also, he came off the bench when he returned to the lineup. Anyone think he faked his illness? This smells like Hedo all over again.

I only caught parts of last nights game and i confess i haven't watched the team with the regularity that i have in the past, so i'm in the dark with a lot of the stuff that goes on. I would really hope something isn't up with JJ as he has become my favorite player this season.

at least james johnson acts like a professional unlike the mega douche in orlando who wants his coach to be fired.

There have been reports of attitude problems and a lack of focus since he was at Wake Forest, so I assume it something along those lines.

Good on Casey if problems were coming up. That's how a coach is supposed to be, stickin it to the man. Fuck Mike Brown-like babying of players

Doug Smith was guessing JJ was late for a practice or something fairly minor. They sure are tight lipped about what it was.

1. It's great to see the organization dealing with internal matters internally. Loving it!

2. That being said, I do hope it's something fairly minor (like being late for practice). JJ has really grown on me - I consider him Raps' MIP this season.

Oh he is by a mile. Guy has been great this year, and if he continues to improve he'll look even better!

Casey is slowly jilting JJ cuz Superstar Weems will be back in the lineup next year. Might as well have JJ ask for a trade or something dramatic request.
