Jack wants to stay in Toronto

Quote:
Raptors guard Jarrett Jack says he hasn't asked the team to trade him, despite rumors to the contrary.

"I hadn't even heard of it until (Monday)," Jack told the Toronto Star. "Bryan Colangelo actually brought it to my attention. I was wide-eyed a little bit."

Colangelo suggested at the end of the season that he wasn't sure if the point guard tandem of Jack and Jose Calderon would last the summer.

"I think we can," Jack said of playing with Calderon. "We went through last year and know some things we could have possibly done differently to kind of ease the situation between both of us."

He's got 3/yrs 15Mil left. Good price for a solid backup who has proven can be pretty good as a starter imo. The only way you trade him is if you include him in a deal that's a no brainer, or if Jose is tough to move for anything tangible.

I still dont understand how people said he had an average to below average year. He went from shooting 32% in the first 12-15 games to shooting 48% overall and making much better decisions as the year progressed until he got demoted for no reason by the idiot ostrich. Jack would be a very solid pg on any team. He can knock down shots off the dribble in the midrange area or around the rim, hit the open 3, makes good decisions most of the time, and I think hes a much better defender than what he shows on the Raptors. Battier would look bad on the Raptors.

+1

Not a bad price for a good backup like you said. I would love to have Jack back next year.

Yeah, I don't understand why people bad mouth him at times, or think he should be traded. He lived up to his individual expectations, if not even surpassing them this season. Only throw Jack in a trade if it really benefits us....
