Good young group to go forward with.
Calderon is only 27. Just thought I'd point that out as he might be in the league for another decade.

Parker is an amazing player. He has great knowledge about the game and can play very well, but he has gotten old and last year it showed. He can be a great bench player and I woulda kept him if I could.

Jack is good in his own respect he is younger and provides the same things that Parker does. Defence and scoring and Jack can play the SG position like Parker can play the PG position. I woulda loved to keep Parker but Jack is younger and can provide the same things

I know one thing, the Raptors can do without that ugly off balanced jumper Parker needlessly took so many times last year.

Ugly? Shit, I always thought it was quite the opposite. Wasn't necessarily the most effective or even intelligent shot at times, but it was pretty picture perfect IMO.

If picture perfect means the opposite of "textbook" or "fundamentally sound" then I would have to agree with you. I hope they're not teaching that shot to DeRozan...

It didn't work last year, it would not work this year.
Have you seen Jack play before? He's got tunnel vision (Ukic would be actually better than him at the point because he looks to pass), he is turnover prone, and he has a scorer's mentality. He is more of a SG even though he is undersized he defends well.

Don't see how there's room for Delfino too. Maybe instead of Delfino they sign Pops for the energy he brought.

Which is why he's a combo guard and hasn't been paid all this money solely to back up Jose. It wouldn't surprise me to see him play the bulk of the minutes at shooting guard some nights.

I hated to lose Parker but getting a true PG was the higher priority. Initially I didn't think that would happen and we'd end up with terrible PGs like last season and Parker would be the better option. I was even more worried about this due to Jose's current injury.

So overall I'm glad to welcome Jack. Just hope he doesn't complain about being a backup. We don't need a disruptive bench.

Ukic deserves a chance to show if his skills improved. If we'd bailed on Jose after his first season we'd have lost a pretty good player. Hope Ukic gets his chance.

Good luck Parker!

I could see them playing Jack at SG to start the season. It does 2 things. Takes the pressure off Derozan to start immediately and allows them to assess Ukic.

we need to get to the playoffs to give Bargs some more experience, he needs to learn how to play in the playoffs. Bosh already knows how and so does jose.

Pretty sure that all of Bosh's playoff experienced were experienced by Bargs as well, same as Jose.

Obviously when it comes to Olympics Bosh and Jose have the upper hand.

Too bad the Raptors aren't playing for a gold medal.

Bosh would definately win one as long as Pau, Lebron and Wade were added to the team.
