I'm starting to wonder if Lowry is fool's gold. Can this guy make it through a game without getting injured? I understand when he goes all out he looks awesome, but when he isn't or can't he's mediocre. This team can't afford to not have it's better players only playing 60% of the time. I think we might have to be sellers this year and look to rebuild.

Still not sure where the "stat-padding hero stuff" is coming from when it relates to Lowry.

Should he try to take over in the 1st half too and put up 30 shots/gm? Rather than try to get his teammates off in the 1st half?

Dude helps out on the glass, gets to the line, shoots it from deep, etc, etc.... When he's healthy and feeling good he's a #1 option.

This isn't like Melo in NYK, or Kobe in LA, or Westbrook in OKC.... we don't have any other really good players who can score consistently. So when the team is struggling I don't have a problem with him calling his own number a little more. Better than seeing everyone else continue to chuck rocks.

Will certainly agree though that he can gamble too much on D at times.

Haahh, 15 games into his season. I wish we were that quick to want Ocho gone.

Yeah i also don't see that. It was also funny that Jack says that in the first half he's been passive and passing a lot more. It's kind of funny that he always looks to pass the ball early in games. We usually have a lead late in the 1st quarter and the bench gives it up. And when everyone starts pressing he gets more agressive.

He looks like a player that doesn't trust his teammates other than Derozan. He looks at the starting lineup and doesn't see a legit starting SF, a rookie Center, a PF that keeps bricking open 3's and disapears usually in the 2nd half and i truely believe he only trusts Derozan fully. Beyond that, i don't think i'd trust much to be honest. So he starts out passing the ball and once we blow leads and people are missing shots all over the place he starts looking to push things.

At the start of the season he was averaging 8 assists in his first 4 games before the injury. The overall Chemistry on this team is out of wack since he got injured and came back, nobody and i mean nobody is sharing the ball. When Lowry gives the ball up he rarely gets it back. He passes into Derozan in the post and derozan posts up runs the clock down, as the help defender comes he spins/fades away.

Do i disagree completely with what Jack is saying, no. At times he tries to do too much and gambles but the man scores, rebounds, plays hard, If his shot is going down he's getting 6-7 assists & 7-8 rebounds and doing other things to try and help his team.

Calderon imo has completely checked out. Don't blame him really, the last 4yrs of losing, injuries etc....has taken it's toll and the man needs a change in the worst way.

I called the same thing before the season and people said I was wrong to suggest he's injury-prone. He's getting hurt every game. I don't trust he'll stay healthy and it's not like he's only played 15 games in his career.

Not saying I want him gone, just that his injuries and style of play leave me concerned. I actually like his gambling defense though it concerns me that a coach is concerned that it's costing the team more than it has to.

I'm not sure it's stat-stuffing that's occurring, rather that his style lends itself to stat-accumulation that looks better than it is. That's not a criticism as much as a caution. I think some are overprotective of Lowry.

Just the cheerleaders....

TBT, I don't mind Lowry calling his own number in crunch time, although I would like to see him stop taking 3's so early in the shot clock and focus on distribution a touch more. Think players are disinterested now, a few 4th q's like that and everyone will end up standing around again watching him like the team did with Bosh.

Hmm. Mccown adamantly wants BC and Casey out, and Jack doesn't totally disagree. But thinks it's smarter to search for a new Gm and coach come April.

I agree with Jack here. Some half assed GM search or interim coming in this early would be a disaster. Let Colangelo make a deal or two and see how the remainder of the season goes then decide on the fate of BC/DC.

The next 6-8 months should be very interesting to say the least.

McCown wants someone fired, not necessarily both out....

At least we made the playoffs with Bosh.

Lord knows I'd rather watch some legit talent rather than this collection of D-leaguers and cast-offs that we've been force-fed for years on end.

Yeah, but i can't say that either PG is playing great right now. I do disagree though that he's been that selfish, especially early in games. I just don't think he trusts his teammates. Who can blame him? A rookie center, no legit SF, and Bargnani who nobody trusts right now. He tries to get them going early but after that tries to take it upon himself at times. But there is a serious talent issue around him and he's playing at times with two rookies. Colangelo is out to lunch if he honestly thinks this isn't a talent issue. This team lacks talent and experience.
