..To get some rebounding. I'm really getting sick of this. We're losing tight games because of our inability to rebound. Reggie Evans for Rasho?

Is Manute Bol still available? I'm willing to get anyone that can reboud as well play some interior defense, something I've been beating to death all season long so far. :deadhorse:

This is just flat out unacceptable. The amount of 2nd chance opportunities we've given teams this season is ridiculous.

Think about the games we would have won if we had better rebounding. I mean we're not asking to go out and get the best rebounder in the world, but Evans makes about 4.5-5 million per season (I think for the next 3-4seasons) and he brings exactly what we need - toughness and rebounds like a madman - and demands no touches on O. He knows his role. Perfect.

I've been saying for about a year now that Evans would be the perfect player on this team. I'll never forget that one game when he was Detroit. He had what 0 points and 20 rebounds? And he's got a mean streak in him. Perfect for this team.

Exactly, instead of 23 wins if we had consistent rebounding there's no reason why we couldn't of won another 5 to 8 games this season. Needless to say it's frustrating.

Not to mention, Evans would at least give us some toughness and someone with a meanstreak too. Something that we haven't had since Oakley was here.

There was a game about 2 seasons ago when he was with the Nuggets against the Raps up here. He had 0 points, 0 assists, but 26 rebounds.
Better rebounding = more chances for us to score. C'mon BC, let's git 'r' done!

I'm going to pray to St. Christopher that we get an answer to our rebounding woes. Apparently he is the patron saint of basketball.

I just don't think one man could change this, it's the whole team who aren't be able to close the rebound. It's just incredible.

I beg to differ. With Evans on the floor, the energy is contagious. You play a couple of pounds heavier so you can bang, you jump a little higher, and that's all he does for a living. Rebound. If he grabs 7-8 boards, at least 2 or 3 are offensive boards and that prevents 2nd chance oppourtunities while creating more for us.

I'm starting to think this is the case.

It seems more and more to be a case of team spacing as a whole. They're also generally being pushed around a bit. I've noticed this with Andrea and even Bosh a bit. Another problem seems to be the rebounding that's coming from our guards. Is it me or are the guards way to laxadazicle (sp?) in general as well? You can be smaller and still be effective at rebounding. It is possible - but none of our guards really want to do this.

I do think getting a rebounding "specialist" will help the situation somewhat... but we need a lot of help. A LOT.

We've give up way too many long rebounds. The guards need to step up and start being more agressive.

To me it's about effort and intelligence. The whole team except for Bosh and Hump actually fight for the ball (Moon had been MIA for awhile). The rest of them, unless it lands in their hands don't go after it.

What I've seen in some of the last games was that the whole team (Raptors) were watching out the guy who had the ball, but not his mates. Boston got a lot of easy baskets under the glass due to that: pass from the paint to the top of the key, all Raptors go to the guy with the ball, the guy passes the ball to the first guy who is now alone and dunks or makes a layout.
The guy was alone when 1 second before 3 Raptors were defending him.

We are making some big and silly errors defending guys off the ball.

and if we get evans, he'll replace who? Where do you get minutes for him + all the rebounds he gets will be negated by everything else he doesn't ...
