It's been almost 20 years.... and other than a brief flash in the pan we've seen nothing that would inspire any lasting confidence.

We can't even laugh at the Clippers anymore because they're actually a title contender.

FML this is depressing.

First things first. It's no secret that we have talent and in the beggining of the season we looked OK, those losses in a 4th quarter just killed us, game after game. So I would say that we have more psychological problems and it's no wonder why. 3 Injured players, 3-4 players on the rumor list to be traded and JV to be benched, Jose is a roleplayer on a bad team(3-15, call it as you want), Ed Davis not getting fair chance and Amir spending more time doing videos than in training. Casey acts like it's all good. Oh and I almost forgot, fans are angry and understandably so, BC said we were a PO team and instead of that we are one of the worst and if that's not enough, most likely team without a pick and cap space.

We should just play backward, with JV and Andrea in the frontcourt, Lowry at C, with Demar at PF and Gray at SF. This team is already hilariously bad, might as well go all the way. Itd be incredibly entertaining seeing Bargs bring it up on offence, and try to defend the point all game.

Maybe that's what's why hes struggling. We've miissed it this entire time. Bargs is a PG! Jose and Lowry need to go.

I think they will end up around 30 wins, for about the 10th pick for OKC. That's a good return for Lowry.

They are not this bad.

You can put the blame on a lot of things legitimately, schedule, reffing, coaching, phantom claw shooting hand, rolled ankles, rookie centre, new starters gelling, players with thick skulls, gutless, heartless play.....

But this team actually has enough talent as presently constitued to be 8-12 or 9-11 right now even after that tough stretch.

It's the same script over and over:

Somehow though, they have to address the need for players that win games the way the game is called. You feel the outcome in your gut in close games. Players that attack the paint and get calls win games. We lack this and therefor have no answer. Result, lose by a couple of points.

The ownership has to do the following:

1. Get together, led by Larry T, and for a chance decide that they REALLY want to build a contender here.

2. Get rid of all the top brass.

3. Bring in good GM and good scouts (I don't know where those can be obtained, can't be bothered with every single detail, let my greatness unroll instead).

4. The new guys do a fire sale of all tradeable assets except, perhaps, Valancunas and Ross as rookies not yet contaminated. Ed, Bargnani, DeRozan, Lowry, Amir should bring some youth and/or picks. Calderon will expire in the summer, Kleiza could be amnestied or whatever.

5. Suck, suck and suck until you give the new brass enough chances to draft potential stars.

6. Bring in a GREAT coach to teach those potential stars how to play together and let him do it for at least 2-3 seasons without altering the core much.

7. Pray it works and we become OKC or Memphis.

Applause?
Honestly though, this is our only chance at lasting success, if we draft players here and lock them up, they may end up liking it here. Hell, if we get Wiggins he might even be able to lure some people up here

Yep. I've started campaigning for him back in the summer.

given he's canadian, if the lottery is rigged as some think, we may actually win it, as long as we have a theoretical chance It would be the perfect time too.

nba hates toronto for whatever reason, so even if the lottery is rigged and wiggins proves to be a consensus number 1, we wouldn't get the first pick, prob fourth, just to disprove and rigged lottery antics all the while bending the raps over and screwing us.

fuck you stern, I blame you

It seems like some Raptors are pump faking themselves out of good shots too. Bargs and DD mostly.

Stern will be gone by then. We should start putting the feelers out to Silver.
