Default Italy out from european tournament

The italian national team, how was expected, lost against France the match that was the last chance to qualify to the main tournament. So our italian players will be on duty earlier than feared.
Anyway, Belinelli tried hard to keep the team in contact to the opponent team, but at the end they lost 81 - 61 and 19pt (6\13fg) for Beli.
Really a bad day for Bargnani, 2\10fg, 5pt, but i have to say coaching has been the worst ever seen on a court and Bargs got really few touches and no schemes to take advantages of his skills.

What do you mean by "upset"? IMHO, France is by far the most talented team in that tourney.

I think Italy is more talented even though France has more NBA players. Italy has quality and what I believe is chemistry. Oh and a big two of Bargnani and Bellinelli. It's how Spain upset USA a couple of years back, talent and chemistry.

Stop protecting Bargs, he sucked with only 5 pts. Couldn't score on Turiaf and you gave him 50 mil

One bad game doesn't make a player. Lebron probably had a bad game in his rookie season. He is still the best player in the league.

The last game he had like 20 points and he got fouled out and Bellinelli took over.

We all hope so.
Hopefully Bargnani will be a scoring force because he won't get into foul trouble. You learn from your mistakes and he's been fouled out last game.

Bellinelli will be third or second string. He won't get too much time on the floor. Bargnani can score more than 15 qa game easily!

Besides, in the past few games the coach doesn't know how to utilize Bargnani properly.

With so many of the stars out, Spain is going to crush every team in the Eurocup. Only worthy team right now is Lithuania and France only if Parker plays.

Anyone else concerned about Bargnani's play in these games.

I know it's "just international", but these are important games, and he's been just a regular schmo when he's supposed to be a big piece to his national team.

Maybe he just isn't that good? Maybe he's been the beneficiary of being a 3rd, 4th option on a team in the NBA, but when a coach needs to focus on him like in these international games, he's relatively easy to take out of a basketball game.

I don't think Bargnani has developed leadership skills and don't know when he will. He isn't very assertive. He won't be like Chris Paul when he begged his coach to play.

Slovenia goes with France and Lithuania also, maybe even a stronger team - their issue so far was chamistry and ppl not playing, since they changed coach everyone who got invitation came so they should be force to reckon this year.
